Little Moon Villa

Lovely retreat on Ko Mak! Charming owner and attentive staff. The restaurant serves a variety of food that should please everyone. On its own beach with gorgeous views from the villas.highly recommend! We loved the original and now we love this beautiful spot too!

This was our fourth visit to Koh Mak but our first time here and it certainly won’t be the last now that we have discovered it. The bungalow was huge, probably one of the most spacious on the island, large bedroom, large bath by the window yet private, shower and separate loo. A fabulous veranda with stunning views as well as chairs and sun loungers and serviced every day. The place was immaculately clean, well maintained and appointed with large bed and quality bedding. The beach and lawn were attractive and again well maintained with sun beds, a shower and kayaks. Breakfast was superb with everything you could wish for and the restaurant is popular with visitors as well as it has a very good reputation. We ate here every evening for ten days as there was so much choice and thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The real secret of this place to us was the wonderful staff who were so friendly and we got to know so well and had fun with. The power house there is a charming lady called Jill who manages the place who can fix anything or advise you on trips etc. she arranged scooters and in house massages for us which were superb. It’s a great quiet location yet close to everything and the most amazing people, thank you for such a great time.

Little Moon Villa is a great place to go. It's intimate and after a few days you know all the faces of the staff and everyone is extremely friendly. Every day the houses are cleaned up, new towels, beds are made. Choice at breakfast is really delicious, they also have croissants or other such things that you can order extra (for a small fee). We rented the scooter from the hotel every day to make trips around the island. At the end of the afternoon we came back to the hotel for diner. The food is very tasty! I could easily stay here for 3 weeks. The houses are clean, the bed is very good. The view when you wake up in the morning is amazing and gives so much peace. We were woken up very early every morning by the light because the upper part of the glass has no curtains. We didn't find this a problem at all because you wake up in a very natural way. It was actually very nice! Because the resort is still so new, it still has some small things that need to be finished. You can also see that here and there in the houses. Because it is such a small island, we have mainly been on an adventure to other places. We have not been on the beach at the hotel because the type of beach is not the most beautiful on the island. But you are already at other beautiful beaches with 7min scooter. It is simply a great beautiful place, Jill who helped us every day was really sweet. If we ever come back I only want to go to this place on koh mak!!

L'hôtel est très isolé, aucun restaurant ou commerce à proximité vous obligeant à prendre tous vos repas au restaurant de l'hôtel, sauf si vous louez un scooter pour la durée du séjour. Le personnel est à l'écoute et plutôt disponible. La plage est sale, le sable est terreux de nombreux déchets et détritus jonchent le sol. La mer n'est pas agréable, nombreux bancs de terre, de déchets et très peu de fond rendent la baignage très désagréable. Les chambres sont vastes, mais il n'y a aucun meuble ou placard de rangement, ni même une tringle ou un portant pour y accrocher des cintres. il y a juste un porte manteau sur pied. Vous êtes donc contraints à laisser vos vêtements dans votre valise ou votre sac à dos. C'est vraiment un gros problème lorsque que vous y séjournez, comme nous pendant une semaine, et bien sur il n'y a pas de coffre dans la chambre. La partie lavabo de la salle de bain n'est pas éclairée, et il y a juste un petit miroir posé derrière le lavabo, vous obligeant à faire une gymnastique pour y voir votre visage. En revanche il y a une grande baignoire dans l'entrée complétement inutile. Dans la chambre il n'y a pas de rideau pour occulter les vitrages du haut, résultat vous êtes réveillé par le jour chaque matin à partir 6h. Le restaurant propose des plats à des prix assez élevés. Les plats sont assez copieux, mais plutôt gras et salés et n'ont vraiment rien d'exceptionnels. Le petit déjeuner est servi à table et doit être commandé la veille, il est assez copieux, mais les viennoiseries et expresso sont en supplément. L'ile de Koh Mak est toute petite (environ 5 km x 7 km). Il n'y a que deux plages de sable où l'on peut se baigner à environ 6 km de l'hôtel, c'est d'ailleurs autour de l'une d'elles que sont regroupés commerces, hôtels et restaurants. Malheureusement il n'y a quasiment pas de sable sec à cause de la montée des eaux. Malgré un nettoyage régulier de ces deux plages par une association, il y reste encore de nombreux déchets amenés par les marées. Faisant confiance aux bons commentaires sur l'hôtel et l'ile de Koh Mak, nous avons perdu une semaine dans un hôtel et une ile sans aucun intérêt.

Wir waren im Restaurant des little moon zum Abendessen auf Empfehlung einer Einheimischen. Das Abendessen war das beste Essen das ich auf Koh Mak während des gesamten Urlaubs gegessen habe. Wir haben 3 Gänge gegessen und alles was auf den Tisch kam war für uns perfekt! Hervorheben möchte ich das Jungle Curry…ein Gericht das glücklich macht. So viele verschiedene Gewürze perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und man sitzt in einem geschmackvoll schlichtem Ambiente wunderschön direkt am Meer. Ein sehr erfüllendes Genuss Erlebnis.
