Koh Mak White Sand Beach

Visited Ocean Rooftop Bar in White Sands Hotel Resort. It is really a rooftop bar and very cozy too. We enjoyed Drinks and also tried the food. The pricing is reasonable and the portions very huge and the quality was really great. The view is amazing we unfortunately came after sundown

Service - very friendly. They pick you up at the ferry. This is included in the price. Always ready to help and smiling. Rooms - Huge. But they need to dot the i’s and cross the t’s. For example, mosquito door didn’t close properly. The drain in the shower was terrible. Cleanliness - okay. They should check the beaches and resort for plastics and stuff. Amenities - they pick up and bring you to the ferry. You can rent a motorbike, however they should do that better. It was not clean at all. They were confused about which key where. They said they hadn’t helmets for us, even though they had it. There is a pool. The chairs at the beach should have some kind of umbrellas for the sun. They could maybe at the check in explain a bit about the island what to do or see (it’s very small there is not much, but there is some things to do or see). Breakfast - not included for us. However food is delicious all day long. Location - at the beach. The beach is very good. We didn’t agree with some reviews about the beach. It’s lovely. Price - very fair.

We spent 3 weeks in Dec 2022 (post-covid) and liked it so much we came back in Dec 2023. A lot of TLC has been given to everything in the meantime. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean bungalows with large mosquito-screened windows, great beach and sundowner lounge make it an outstanding place. We absolutely love the rooftop terrace that the bungalows offer, did a lot of daydreaming or stargazing there. Absolutely recommended.

Amazing team of staff who made us feel very welcome and helped us anyway they could! Good clean facilities, delicious breakfast, good rooftop bar to watch the sunset, and overall excellent place to spend a week on Koh Mak! Thank you Mouy and team! We will be back :)

Koh Mak White Sand Beach is een verborgen parel. Wat hebben wij ons daar verwend gevoeld, niet alleen door de prachtige ruime bungalow die alles heeft wat je nodig hebt, meer zelfs-:), maar ook door de staf. Ze zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De hele omgeving ziet er paradijselijk uit, mooie tuin, fijn strand. Er zijn genoeg ligbedden ook op plekken met gras als je niet in het zand wilt zitten. De rooftop bar met vrij uitzicht op de zee zullen we ook niet gauw vergeten! Het eiland zelf is heel makkelijk te verkennen met een scooter/brommer. Het is een heel natuurlijk rustig eiland, ideaal voor de echte rustzoekers. Wij weten het zeker, we gaan nog een keer terug en dan langer -:)!!!

Toll gepflegtes Resort, liebevolle Mitarbeiter und sehr gutes Essen. An der Rooftop gibt’s eine tolle Aussicht mit guten Cocktails. Wir hatten eine Beachfront Bungalow, ca. 50 Meter vom leider nicht schönen und verdreckten Strand. Es gibt 2-3 Bungalows rechts vom Restaurant, die sind fast direkt am Strand. Die Bungalows sind nicht mehr so wie auf den Bildern, eher schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Gartenbungalows hätten es genau so getan. Der Pool ist sehr klein, aber ausreichend mit Kind, wer in nutzen will. Auf Koh Mak fanden wir den Hauptstrand und den Strand am Pier am schönsten, dort gibt es auch schöne Bungalows. Der Hidden Beach ist ziemlich cool, aber etwas entfernt. 10-15 min
