Royal Marine Hotel

Have just returned from a 3 day break to celebrate Mum’s 89th birthday. We couldn’t have been treated any better from the minute we arrived until the minute we departed. Her birthday was made extra special as Dylan delivered breakfast to our room along with Prosecco and a “Happy Birthday” rendition! Her eyes lit up and she talked about it for the length of time we were there. All the staff are so lovely and nothing is too much trouble.. Dylan is exceptionally nice with wonderful people skills. Can’t wait to return in July with friends. Thank you Dylan, ( and staff) you are an asset to the hospitality industry.

Stayed here recently and had a really lovely experience. The hotel is fairly basic, but it ticks all the right boxes for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The staff were absolutely lovely—super friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. The hotel was warm and cozy, and the bed was really comfortable—I slept so well. There’s also a large TV in the room, which was a bonus, and the power shower was fantastic! They are also very generous with the tea and coffee in the room, usually I run out and have to ask for a top-up, not here, they supply was plentiful. Plenty of parking available too, which made everything really convenient. Overall, a great place that offers excellent value for money. I’d happily stay again!

I was there for the first time on April 26, 2025 and I always say that the first image is always the best We were greeted by a super friendly lady. I think her name is Pamela if I remember correctly. She gave us lots of advice on things we could do during our stay. And then they escorted us to our room. The rooms were very nice and very, very clean. Afterwards, we went out to dinner outside the hotel and on the way back, we were at the hotel bar.where we were able to talk to other hotel guests and spend a wonderful evening with them.I have worked all my life in hospitality And I can recommend this hotel because it is one of the best hotels I have ever been to. We had a short break at the Royal Marine in sunny Dunoon. The service from Pam and Dylan the proprietor was outstanding they could not do enough for you. The breakfast was lovely well cooked and plentiful . Dylan is in the process of bringing the hotel back to its former glory and is doing a great job. We had room 9 which had been completely and tastefully redecorated and was spotlessly clean. Strongly recommended.

Great room, nice decor, lovely sea view, good full English breakfast. Dillon our amazing host couldn't do enough for us and our dogs. The hotel is a little tired in places but overall a nice place to stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel

I bought a 2 night break for my sister and husband She told me no toiletries in room given No restaurant at night The staff were lovely but owners just sit and drink at night I really bad I bought this as gift I never before heard this all gifts over years bought from itiison
