The Venue Serviced Apartments

Afternoon tea at The Venue is gorgeous! Scampi & Wedges, Sourdough bread with onion bhaji, chutney and mint sauce, southern fried chicken & aioli, Halloumi & humous then chocolate brownie, waffle bites with caramel syrup and a lovely fruit scone with jam and clotted cream. The staff are very friendly and attentive, would highly recommend.

Really good value but lacking in atmophere. The grounds are nice but the bar was dead! Shame as it could be nice. I think it was run by students and they didn't seem to be there. It was hard to find the reception as the signs are not obvious . These are clearly student accomodation so don't expect a hotel/ apartment.

Really nice serviced apartment lovely fresh and clean comfy bed and soft pillows. Shared kitchen which is great you can make a brew of cook if you need to. The surronding area is lovely. We were going to a gig at The Picturedrome on Holmfirth booked a taxi all perfect. ideal for a weekend stay. I would stay here again

I recently had my baby shower at The Venue and the whole day was just absolutely amazing. Better than I ever could have hoped. Before the day we had a meeting to discuss our preferences and several emails back and forth to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day (thank you Amber!) nothing was too much trouble. All the staff on the day were absolutely lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was amazing! We opted for afternoon tea, served on beautiful picnic benches and a grazing board. Including sandwiches of our choice, cakes and scones. The grazing board table was also a lovely touch that people could pick at throughout the day. All of the guests commented how beautiful the room was and I would highly recommend the venue to everybody for their next event!

We found this jem to stay while separating the life of my wife's late uncle Philip. So many things stand out at this hotel. Amazing food. fantastic breakfast. Beautiful rooms. But it's the staff that makes your stay memorable. There enthusiasm makes the place electric. The lovely Sofia checked us in with a smile that made you feel glad to be alive..well done to you all. Wish I had got all your names. But we will be back.

Poor service, waited an hour just for some chicken skewers. The burger was good but the tacos were plain and the service was slow and uninviting, there was just 1 other table who had food and the staff were just chatting the whole time. This is nothing more than a polished up student bar, run by students.
