The Embassy Hotel

Very basic room. Bed was quite comfortable and clean. Roller blind was bevelled due to heat off radiator. Plaster was coming off wall behind TV. Bathroom sink stained due to dripping tap. Done OK for its purpose as attended a function downstairs.

We had our wedding at Embassy and i cannot thank the team enough! they were absolutely amazing throughout the whole process! The function room looked absolutely amazing! Some of the family stayed in the rooms and said how lovely it was! Amazing reviews and the breakfast from the guests too! Thank you Embassy for being apart of our special day!

I booked at The Embassy Hotel as I was attending a book fair in Hull. The hotel was on the outskirts of Hull and in reality a guest needs a car to get about. However, I checked out the local bus and discovered it was no problem getting about by public transport. My room was adequate for my needs, with a huge picture window. Breakfast was excellent, although I was stuck for an evening meal as the restaurant wasn't open at the weekends.

Stayed for one night whilst in Hull on business. The staff were very friendly and the check-in/out processes were very easy. The room was relatively modern, however it was a little scruffy. Bathroom could probably do with a refurb. Hot tap appeared to be broken and spat out some horrible coloured liquid when I used it. Had to sleep with the windows shut as the A63 was very noisy outside, even in the middle of the night - don’t think I’ve coped in warmer weather! Fire escape light above the door was very bright and right in my eye-line when I was in bed - made it difficult to get to sleep as I generally like darkness (something a bit less bright would be more appreciated). £40 for a one night stay was certainly not bad value for money and I would not wish to advise anyone against booking. Once I fell asleep, I did sleep well. Might be tempted to try somewhere else next time, however.

We stayed following a friends birthday party in the hotel. The room was very basic but bed was comfortable enough. We had to get rid of a few hairs on the bed and in the bathroom and drew a line at sharing the soap that had been half used in the shower! You get what you pay for but the mouldy bathroom needs a bit of TLC.
