Travelodge Hull Central

Stayed at this central Hull Travelodge a few times now and never had any problems, it's exactly what you want and expect from a Travelodge. This was our first summer-time stay and was spoiled by the room being unbearably hot. Even just walking out into the corridor was more pleasant. We paid extra for a 'Standard Room Plus' and I would not recommend it. It actually felt smaller than the rooms we've stayed in before, and was on the top floor which no doubt contributed to the excessive heat. Only noticeable difference was a slightly nicer coffee maker and a couple of KitKats but they had already melted, I know how they felt :) We left the window wide open to the maximum 2 cm but all that did was let the traffic noise in. So not a good experience this time. I fully share the blame for visiting in the middle of summer and being surprised at being too hot, but all we wanted was a comfortable night and in the end they couldn't deliver that. I'd still recommend this place for a fairly cost-effective stay and just five minutes walk into the city centre and to the transport interchange, but I'll also be looking for air-conditioned alternatives in summer if I'm ever there again!

Brilliant situated. Not far from Hull Paragon Interchange and St. Stephens. Not far from city centre and New Theatre. Hotel was clean, smelt clean and was clean. Staff were great and very welcoming.

I stayed here for one night whilst working away from home. The website was very easy to use and I was able to book everything I needed for my stay, evening meal, Wi-Fi and breakfast. The twins, Kayley and Laura that were working that evening on reception and in the bar were amazing, nothing was too much bother for them. It was nice to see that they both very committed to giving all customers a memorable stay. The rooms are of a decent size, and very clean. It was very hot but a fan was provided and everything I needed to know was communicated at checkin regarding the curtains been drawn and the duvet. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Hull. It lifted my spirits after a long hard day at work been greeted by such friendly, welcoming staff. Thank you!
