Kilkenny River Court Hotel

The Kilkenny River Court Hotel is just a little slice of heaven in the heart of a buzzing Kilkenny city. The management and staff are so friendly and helpful. It's so nice to arrive at a hotel and see friendly smiling faces. We had the evening meal in the restaurant, and I honestly think it's one of the best meals we've had anywhere. The portions are absolutely huge. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. And the views are just absolutely beautiful. We will be back as often as possible ♥️

We arrived in Kilkenny with no clear plan on where to stay. We found the River Court Hotal on TripAdvisor and it seemed like the right spot and so it was. The entry was very classy and the staff helpful. We were given a room overlooking the river and the castle and was very enjoyable. The manager gave us where to go and how best to get around the “triangle”. We went for a walk and hiked over to the cathedral to witness sunset the views of the church in the sun amazing. We closed the evening at Lanigan’s with food, drink, music and some new friends from France. The next morning we had a great traditional Irish breakfast and left refreshed.

I’ve stayed here numerous times for many years now and I love the location the comfort and staff . We stayed in the Ormand suite with family next door . It was perfect , time spent together in the comfort of this room with a view of the castle by night was just magic . The staff are all so nice and helpful . Breakfast is always good . Location is perfect to enjoy Kilkenny

We met in the hotel bar around 15 of us as we were all staying in different places, we had a great long table and the barman and staff were great in taking our orders from the table and serving and keeping everyone with drinks. Great meet up place for bigger groups and pretty hotel, parking was plentiful and the views outside were stunning.

We were recently staying in the river court for a wedding in the bridge house , we were staying in the bridge house also , we had a phenomenal room , absolutely gorgeous, the morning of the wedding , I was maid of honour for the bride & have to say the staff were so Amazing and so attentive are fulfilling our needs and making everything such a smooth process , staff couldn’t do enough for us , the river court is in an absolutely fabulous location , we were absolutely to access everything so easily , the staff were the main star of the show & couldn’t help us enough , from the managers /wedding oganisers , waiting staff , bar staff , everyone was so lovely and so helpful , we can’t thank them enough . We little definitely be back for another little stay soon.

We had the most incredible wedding day at the River Court Hotel, with our ceremony and celebration held in the beautiful Bridge House. Everything about the day exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you to Sharon, Keira, and Noel – their support, professionalism, and warmth made all the difference. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and that we felt completely at ease. The setting was simply magical. The breathtaking backdrop of Kilkenny Castle added a romantic touch that made the whole day feel like a fairytale. Our guests were blown away by the view, and it made our photos even more special. We’ll be forever grateful to the amazing team at the River Court Hotel for helping us create such unforgettable memories. If you’re planning a wedding, we couldn’t recommend this venue – and its wonderful staff – highly enough.
