Glamping at Treegrove

I pulled up to the reception at Treegrove just as Dan appeared with a warm welcome. I had the pick of a dozen pitches and chose one close to the facilities. A quick walk round to photograph the ponies in a daisy-filled paddock with the setting sun. The WC’s and washroom are maybe a little tired but the showers were spacious and hot. For the price you can’t fault this site. Dan was helpful with pointing me towards local shops to stock up the van for my onward journey.

The dryer in the laundry is of the cheapest kind and not suitable for commercial, heavy duty use. My clothes were still damp/ wet after 1 hour drying on extra dry... the laundry room is open all day and night but there are no lights. So washing in the evening is not recommendable. The location is good, but that's it.

Got home 2 days ago,what a trip,we got to do so much.Tree grove is an excellent campsite for exploring Kilkenny and surrounding areas,all the way to Tipperary and beyond.Some beautiful villages and towns to explore.The site itself is so well equipped for tents,caravans & motor homes.Toilets & showers were clean,showers free and hot,hairdryer etc plug in in toilet block,no queuing to use.Dan is a wonderful host and gives great info for the area,can’t wait to return!! Don’t forget some carrots for the ponies.

My partner and I and another couple are just home from a weekend here! The photos do not do this place any justice it is just fabulous, so well run! The little cabins are so clean and cosy even had an electric blanket not that we needed it! Very short distance to town a taxi is max 10 euro in and out! Will definitely be staying here again highly highly recommend it!

Talk about location location location Treegrove has that it's a 20min nice walk into Kilkenny City 5mins in a cab for about 8 to 10euro. the site itself has Glamping pods the pitches are level and there loads of electric hook ups and water taps

Tranquil & beautiful setting next to a stuff farm. The site is based around 2 daisy laden meadows where there are always beautiful ponies to admire while having your morning coffee. The shower/wc blocks are spotless as usual and the glamping pods look very cool. A 20 minute stroll into the city & plenty of cabs on offer for a way home. Ideal for Roots festival but we have also camped here as a family holiday too. Well done Dan on maintaining your high standards & we look forward to a return to our favourite site in the country.
