Gaya's Guest House

非常小的鎮子，老闆娘英語很不錯，有一個二層小樓，還有9個蒙古包，我住的蒙古包，晚上老闆給點爐子，早上可以用電暖氣。早餐老闆娘做的，簡單但營養夠，晚上可以在餐廳自己吃東西。

攜程上沒有任何關於這家青旅的中文評論，我來分享下。房間很乾凈，不必擔心衞生問題，兩層樓衞生間在一樓，二樓沒有衞生間，不太推薦蒙古包晚上會冷，青旅主人很好，天氣下雨到車站來接我們，很是感動，青旅男主人有車，想去哪個地方可以付費帶去，且收費合理男主人也很有耐心，有早餐，基本的肚子可以填飽，也可以買菜做飯，有熱水提供，很多西方來客住這裏，青旅出門就是大草原，直走一公里就是個大型超市，位置還算方便，性價比很高，不必擔心很多大膽的住就可以了！

Cut a long story short, initially when Mongolia came to my mind it was all vast land w nothing but horses and gers then I figured there's desert too! (Don't let the blue sky fool you, it was freezing cold some night -20 degrees!) So i had to go see for myself, but the problem was where do i even begin to plan this, and that's when I found the gem of a person, Gaya!✨️ As I solo travel, I enjoy meeting and listening to stories where, despite many struggles and hardships in life, they didn't give up and created something amazing! That person was Gaya in Mongolia for me. It was her childhood dream to be a guide, but language was an issue along w other problems but after many years, her dream was finally alive and like me, many people have stayed at her guest house, and she has helped hundreds of people for their Mongolian trip. So it's not just a guest house, but she can also help plan or arrange an itinerary that suits you 🙌 Also, safety is number 1 for me as a solo female traveller, and she ensured I felt safe and at home throughout my trip. Kept me warm day and night, fed me good healthy food, and I got to experience staying in a ger with a local nomadic family eating staple nomadic meals and milk tea! #bucketlist more coming soon Shout out to @gayasguesthouse.mongolia for such a special memory. Gaya is the real deal! She is a strong, kind, friendly and helpful host to all travelers. It is clear she loves what she does and takes great joy in meeting people from around the world. Gaya will coordinate different excursions for the interested traveler as well as assist with and coordinate bus rides to and from UB. Oh, and we were lucky enough to cross paths with her daughter the day before she left for UB to study at a University. What an intelligent, kind girl! Thank you for everything, Gaya!

We stayed two times at Gaya's Place while our trip in Mongolia. We enjoyed the place, full of warmth and willingness to help. Gaya offers very clean rooms and a kitchen as well, hot showers and toilets. We could ask her all the questions we had and she really set trust in our plan using the tend and hitchhiking from Charchorin to Murun. We are really thankful for her recommendations and we can absolutely recommend this place to everybody!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Gaya’s apartment. It is in the center of Kharkhorin close to attractions, restaurants, and markets. Gaya and her family are such a wonderful hosts. They greeted me with smile and with so much kindness. The communication prior to arrival was great. They’ve arranged everything for me from airport pick up to planning my itineraries on my entire visit to Mongolia. I had such a wonderful experience visiting the country because of Gaya, she prepared meals for the road, breakfast at her apartment and even made soup in the evening, shared some vodka and horse milk. Through her I got to meet other local families and enjoyed lunch with them and I enjoyed the beauty of nature in Mongolia through all the activities that she meticulously planned. Her husband Togi was such an amazing driver, he ensured we navigated and arrived safely to our destinations through unpaved and rocky roads. I also got to meet their daughter Nomi who is very sweet. They are such a lovely family. I highly recommend Gaya’s guesthouse and apartment if you are visiting Kharkhorin in central Mongolia. Gaya’s place is the best! We stayed for 3 nights in one of the gers. (Ages 55, 17, 15.) it was very comfortable, very clean & very cheap (by UK standards). Gaya is a quite remarkably helpful person & very welcoming. She arranged private transportation from UB, and, for return to UB, booked bus tickets for us and delivered us to the bus station. She also took postage to the post-office for us. I heard she even writes destination signs for hitch-hikers who can’t write or speak Mongolian. He daughter, who also helps guests, seems to speak English as fluently as Gaya. Karakoram is super-interesting historically and the walking is great. Gaya’s place is the perfect base for all of this.

Gaya's guesthouse is ran by wonderful people, who go out of their way to help you. The yurts are well accommodated, cute and nice to stay in. The bathrooms are well-maintained, clean with hot showers.
