MPT Payal, Khajuraho

MPT Payal is spacious and boasts of well laid-out lawns, an elegant foyer, a kids' play area and a spotless swimming pool. The staff are welcoming, prompt. and helpful in catering to any requests and in arranging for local transport. Food was decent and restuarant staff were considerate about our dietary requests as well. We even saw them arrange a birthday cake for another party of guests. It was all very friendly, warm, amd welcoming. Almost, a home away from home feeling. It was a pleasure to walk around the premises absorbing the laid back feel of the place and rather nice to see a little library of books tucked away in one corner of the recption area too. The rooms were clean and well furnished too and the bathrooms were also big and well maintained. There was also a spotted puppy who came wagging up to join us on our stroll around the grounds.

Rooms and the location is great. The food is a big turn off - there is no variety at all. Don’t take the all inclusive meal package rather enjoy some good and hygienic food outside. The staff is actually the biggest disappointment. I am not sure if the positive reviews that i found here were just on the basis on how to room looks and not the service which is so critical.
