Wonderful couple of days in Alaind Lodge, tranquil, beautiful location. Trish and Chris were wonderful hosts, lovely rooms and great breakfast. Fergal took us on a fantastic 6k walk, stunning scenery and brilliant guide. We loved everything about it....

We would highly recommend Alaind Lodges. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, with wonderful power shower after a day hiking in Sneem. Thanks to Trish & Chris for a delicious breakfast and their hospitality. We would love to visit again when in Kerry.

Everything was perfect,the owners was absolutely kind and share with us their experiences and suggested us,the best spots for our trip to enjoy the holiday in the best way . The breakfast included toast,cereals, yogurt and the typical irish breakfast' cooked at the Moment. We loved stay there .

Everything was okay Nice peoble and clean and comfortable rooms very good beds and good breakfast in the morning 5/5 👍. Highly recommended to stay here When you are driving the ring of Kerry. Good good to find in the village just 5 minutes away.

Me and the missus spent this last weekend here and we had the most wonderful time in a while! Peace and quiet -which was what we were going for- and still very close to town (1min by car) to have easy access to drinks, food and shops. Fergal and Chris were truly wonderful to deal with, the bedroom was warm and cozy, the bathroom was clean and modern, and the house had this wonderful calmness vibe to it. We loved it!

My stay was incredibly great. I was greeted when I arrived, and the owner showed me to my room. I was the only one there at the time but I felt safe and comfortable. Even after I settled in and went to the pub to enjoy the night, I went to get food and there was Chris the owner having food. So we dined together and we talked about all the sights to see on my adventures through Ireland. Had a great breakfast in the morning and showed me where I should go. He was so friendly and very helpful. Recommended this B&B if you’re staying in Sneem!

Exceptional. Lovely room, very clean, small touches of tea n coffee, box of tissues. Bottle of water, shower gel. While it’s a short distance from Sneem. It’s still a perfect location. Great breakfast choice. Thank you Fergal.

Easy check in, rooms are cosy and clean. The owner Fergal makes a really good breakfast, he's very accomodating and welcoming. I would stay there another time with no hesitations and enjoy the outdoor walks offered by the host.

I contacted Fergal with a rather unusual request - to complete 9 specific Vandeleur Lynams (600m+ peaks) in different areas of the Dunkerron range over 3 days. From initial contact, Fergal was extremely helpful, and even carried out some reccies himself to find the optimum routes. We had three fantastic days of hillwalking led by Fergal. He's a superb walk leader - very safety conscious, knowledgeable and passionate about the area, unhurried and really good company. The Dunkerrons are spectacular - some fabulous rocky terrain, dozens of corrie lakes and an abundance of wildlife (we saw several white-tailed sea eagles, grouse etc) - it is such a shame that these mountains are sometimes overlooked by people seeking out the high Reeks. Álaind B&B accommodation is top quality too, lovely spacious and well-appointed rooms, tasty breakfasts - and Fergal went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience in the Sneem area. I cannot recommend Álaind highly enough - and will definitely return!!
