This is one of the worst places I have ever been to. It started with check in, this took almost 25 minutes. It’s all very new. I thought they maybe opened this or last week. In which case I could understand. However they are open for OVER 6 months!! I booked an upgrade, this was confirmed by email. When I arrived there was no upgrade available. I mentioned this was a bit strange, since an upgrade was offered by Radisson, I accepted it and booked it and it was comfirmed by Radisson. Eventually they found an ‘upgrade’, it wasn’t in the system, cause it didn’t have a fridge (yet). It would be delivered by maintenance. It never came. The restaurant on the top floor is not part of the hotel. Nobody tells you this. You can’t charge anything to your room there. There is a restaurant on the ground floor. I went for dinner. It took 45 minutes for the food to arrive. The meat was so tough I couldn’t eat it. The sauce had a skin so thick I could take it off with my fork. In the room the sliding door to the bathroom came off and there was no visible lever to drain water from the sink. I thought I had booked a nice and relaxing stay for my last night in Joburg, but it turned out to be hell. I paid for a late check out, but decided to leave asap. I prefer staying at the airport for 12 hours over being in this place. I can not recommend anyone to book here!!!
