This hotel was very deceiving from the outside as looked a bit tired and worn . However the room was very clean and all the home comforts you would expect from a 5 star . I hate to leave anything negative as the breakfast was fantastic . ( please see this as a constructive) The bed was the most uncomfortable sleep ever due to the quality of the mattress, which is a shame when everything else was top notch from a budget hotel . I would have had no hesitation in rated this 5 star had myself and my husband not suffered from a bad back after many attempts at trying to get a restful sleep on such a soft mattress . However, after saying that, we would most definitely have no hesitation in staying here again if the mattress was of of higher quality .

Excellent friendly hotel, great value for money, great breakfast. Everything as described and you get what you pay for. Easy to check-in. Large car park, CCTV all around, felt safe.

This place has very poor facility, the building is so old and out dated, there is nothing around this area and is located by the main road (so it is noisy). There is no one at the hotel during the prime check-in time, everything and everyone is virtual. I won't call this a hotel or a B&B.

This is an interesting hotel quite close to Skipton. The ground floor at the front - main road is on the 1st floor and at the back it's the basement. Staircases are quite narrow and, until you get used to them, a bit of a rabbit warren. The automatic check in / door security system are based on the last 6 letters of your mobile followed by the *. I was there three nights and only got it completely right on the last morning. My room was in the attic space but comfortable enough if you remembered to duck round the sloping ceiling. The breakfast was the highlight of my stay as Karen, the only human I encountered during my visit (except other guests), always had a lovely welcome and was ready to take your orders. Tea, coffee, milk, juices, cereals and fruit were self-service but a selection of cooked breakfasts are available. Interesting, boutique ish hotel with a large free car park behind.

We were here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and asked if they could give us a room with a view, we then got an email confirming that they can indeed accommodate. However, upon arriving and getting into our room, the room was tiny, claustrophobic, and with no view at all. After contacting someone, im guessing the owner, However, he didn't introduce himself - our room was changed for bigger, but for worse than the original room, the windows overlooked the road and there was constant traffic, even at night, meaning there was no chance for a good night's sleep. At the end of the conversation with the so-called owner, after telling him we booked for a special occasion, he ended the conversation with a "Happy Birthday." THIS CLEARLY SHOWS NO COMMUNICATION WITHIN STAFF NOR WITHIN THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMMUNICATED WITH ME VIA EMAIL. Because of disappointment, we left the hotel after one night (we had two nights booked in the hotel).
