Aelius Hotel & Spa

We had a wonderful stay at the Aelius Hotel and Spa. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile, especially Nena who was full of life and so upbeat and made sure we had everything we needed so that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Vasiliki the barmaid, was fantastic! She was quick, efficient, and made the best drinks. She remembered everyone and kept the atmosphere lively and fun. She was a real pleasure to be around. Infact all the staff were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to meet our needs. The hospitality we received was exceptional. Buffet options were excellent with lots of choice, i particularly enjoyed the salad bar with lots of fresh produce and loads to choose from. The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from the beach but the hotel offers a frequent shuttle service to and from the beach. 3 Stunning pools with lots of sun beds. We were able to do a few day trips whilst on the island with pick up from the hotel. This hotel is exquisite. Elegantly decorated. I highly recommend it. Our visit to this hotel was very enjoyable

The hotel offers excellent facilities with an indoor pool and two outdoor pools. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets impressed with a diverse selection, even if the fish and seafood options were perceived as a minor flaw. The room was always clean, and the reception staff provided impeccable service. We were particularly impressed by the waitress Nena, who delighted us with her attentiveness, friendliness, and helpfulness—your table "four-and-two."

Beautiful clean and relaxing hotel, welcoming and friendly staff, from reception, restaurant, bar and clean staff! Lovely food! Great choice! Loved every minute of our stay . Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely friendly smiley staff .

Not all that glitters is gold. Don’t be fooled by 4‑star reviews. The hotel is sneakily including spa‑treatment reviews with the hotel reviews to boost its overall rating. Always read actual hotel reviews before booking! While the hotel is aesthetically pleasing in places, nearly everything else was subpar and disappointing. It has the potential to be amazing, but there is a lot to improve. Here’s my honest opinion on Aelius: Customer Service My experience was very mixed. The bar, restaurant, and porter staff were impeccable—nothing was too much, and their service was excellent. However, things went downhill at the front desk, with hotel management, and with one spa staff member, Lana. After arriving at my room at 1 am, I discovered it was dirty. I was desperate for a shower after a long day of travel, and there was a large brown mark on the shower floor (it looked like a blood clot). It was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. Although the beds were made, everything else was quite dirty. Exhausted, I decided to wait until morning to raise the issue. In the morning after closer inspection I saw hairs under the thin mattress cover and marks on the sheet. The room had not been cleaned properly When I reported the issue to the receptionist the next day, she dismissed it, claiming it was part of the tile design. I had to insist on a deep clean. When the cleaner arrived, she even rubbed her foot on the “tile design,” smearing the stain—it was disgusting. She promised to return in ten minutes but never came. Two hours later, I requested a manager. Instead of addressing the concern, she explained how upset her staff was and insisted she always did a good job. Well she didnt do a good job on this occassion, I was disgusted that this was my first impression at 1 am, and I had to wait hours on my first day to fix it. A common theme of the customer service staff at this hotel is to dismiss and lie clearly. After that, cleaning service remained poor—including entering my room while I was changing despite my request not to, leaving doors open to allow bugs in, and not cleaning adequately. I’m not sure if this was retaliation for complaining or the normal standard. Because of the cleanliness issues, I was offered a free massage which led to my next disappointment. Spa Experience I had planned to have a massage during the holiday (hence choosing a hotel with a spa). As part of the comdensation, i was supposed to receive a free 45‑minute massage (15 minutes given to everyone plus 30 minutes as compensation). I wanted to add an extra 30 minutes plus a scrub, both to extend the experience and compensate the staff. When I arrived at the spa, I spoke to Lana. She insinuated I was lying about the massage compensation and interrupted me repeatedly before I could explain or discuss the extra services. She insisted I could only have a 30‑minute massage, ignoring the manager’s prior confirmation of 45 minutes. She was shouting and cut me off. Only when I r

Visited for 10 days with family and was an excellent experience. Could not recommend the gym and spa staff enough, the manager Lana was absolutely brilliant and attentive to all needs, and her and staff ever present around pool happy to help.
