Iraklis Apartments

These lovely apartments are just a five minute walk from the beach & are clean, spacious & well-equipped. The gardens surrounding them are absolutely beautiful - a little piece of heaven. The icing on the cake here is the friendly Iraklis family who own the apartments. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel like part of the family. Do not leave without sampling Stratos' beef stew - the taste is out of this world!

DONT believe what you read with other reviews we had a brilliant stay at this hotel would book directly with the hotel and the deluxe apartments r so comfortable they had brand new memory foam mattress the owners was great tuk us in to Malia food great pools great definitely would recommend this hotel 4 minutes from beach most restaurants have free sun beds on beach cabs are expensive but bus stop outside Heklion airport run from 6.35 to 11.05 so only 7.20 on bus or 50 euros bus great for views we loved our week and we are very tanned

Had a great holiday at the Iraklis Apartments, made very welcome by the staff and family. The food was lovely, rooms comfortable and clean. Looking forward to going back next year. Pool area is very colourful with all the flowers.

Iraklis Appartments in Gouves, Crete. Stayed here recently on a Solo’s Holiday, the hotel is really lovely, very clean and very well kept. The family are always friendly and helpful. I was in one of the small rooms, which are quite basic but was clean and adequate with a small kitchen area, it had a double bed (I found the mattress really hard and not very comfortable)! The bathroom was simple and clean, however the shower cubicle is tiny, I am quite small so found it just about okay but for bigger people I’m not sure how well they would manage! I believe they have carried out some refurbishments and some of the apartments were really nice. It is a simple family run hotel but you can’t fault the cleanliness and the friendly relaxed atmosphere of the place. Breakfast was good; fried and boiled eggs, bacon and beans. Fresh bread/toast, jams etc, fruit, yogurt, honey, cakes and biscuits and tea/coffee. I would have like to have access to tea/coffee during the day and may be a fruit bowel would be nice as part of the inclusive cost. The 3 meals that were included were really nice, a meze of starters and a main meal, the food is made and presented well and is very tasty. Gouves is a nice quite area with lovely beaches and some nice shops, restaurants and taverna’s. Favourite restaurants would be Medusa and Mylos and best night was dancing in the street at Bar Central which are all literally just outside the accommodation. Thanks to all the staff at Iraklis and Rhonda, our rep for making my first Solo Holiday so wonderful, met some lovely people and made some wonderful memories.

I stayed in late May 2022. Family who run the apartments were lovely but they need to be aware of some of the issues. Unfortunately I was in the old block and the room was far from cosy and I believe that this block needs renovating to the standard of the other rooms in the 2 new blocks. The apartment was basic which was fine but the bathroom/shower area was simply awful, it smelt quite bad. Basic I can cope with but not poor bathrooms, it took me several days to get rid of the smell :-( Breakfast was basic, just egg, bacon and beans each day for cooked, felt they could have offered omelettes or boiled eggs. Pool area was lovely had the full sun all day, they had sun shades but not enough and the sunbeds could do with updating.
