The Seles Boutique Hotel

The perfect place to relax during the heat of the day. Lush vegetation and a great pool. The cabins were clean, comfortable, well presented and reasonably priced. The service was excellent - a big shout out to Jovin and Mariam who made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious and they also have wonderful live music. Would stay there again in a heart beat.

Lovely place, the balcony in the main area where you can watch the sea and zanzibar life is so nice! It is a very charming place. There is a very helpful and friendly staff. They try everything to make you happy. If something does not work they try everything to fix it.

It was very good, guys just keep going. Only good words for you. Food, housekeeping, bar, always with big smile. We will remember forever this great positive vibes. I hope we will comeback again in the future. Stay like this Seles don't change nothing. ❤️

The staff are very nice and friendly,Hotel is located in the ocean plus they have a very beautiful terrace where you can see the view ocean, food also is very good-Norberth is good organizer for every thing in the hotel, we feel very happy see you soon

It is quite interesting the rates to this hotel on the platforms when actually it is a very poor one with a very bad service. We arrived at the hotel and we already knew we had been fooled. First of all, the location is very far away from any touristic attractions and on “***********” it clearly says “350m from city centre”, which is a lie. The hotel is located in a local village, where local people live, so it is so unfortunate that they made a hotel in this area just to bother the locals. Still speaking about the location, the beach is not proper for swimming, considering the amount of boats right in front of the hotel. The hotel is divided by 2 facilities, being the second one a struggle to take your luggage. The food is so expensive and totally not worth it. Not enough options for vegetarian people and for people who enjoy a nice meal, that’s the least you expect from a 8.5 hotel rate. The “included breakfast” is another lie. By the time you reach the “breakfast”, they will give you a menu in which you will choose 1 main dish, 2 sides and 1 drink, and to be very honest, if you are a person who eats well during the morning, you will not be full. Cleanliness is another point. We arrived and our bed sheets had stains of something, giving it a dirty look. Behind the bed was dirty as well, as you can see in the pictures. The room is ok but it’s missing basic stuff for tourists, such as a mini bar, hair dryer, iron, telephone and even TRASH BIN in the toilet, what kind of place is that? And of course you can’t contact the reception straight away since there’s no telephone in the room. And to complete, we were in the middle of a tour and the hotel contacted us saying that we would have to leave our rooms since there was another person coming that booked the room that we were staying, so unethical considering that we also paid a huge amount of money for this very bad place. What kind of service is that? Never had such a worse experience in any other place! Disgusting. Do not book this hotel or this area if you’re planning to relax or enjoy your vacations, very bad service overall.

Stayed at Seles for the last couple of days in Zanzibar. What an amazing place. Stunning setting right on the beach. If you are looking for a relaxed stay, great food and good service, this is it. Rooms was spotless and huge, bathrooms had hot water. The food was really really good, and as it is on the quieter side of Zanzibar, we opted to have all our meals here. Breakfast was a set menu with a couple of choices and was good. Please try their Uroa Brunch: FABULOUS and a great eating experience. We were lucky enough to be able to do the cocktail specials (from 4 in the afternoon till 7) and they very very good. Staff are very friendly and helpfull. It is an adult only hotel and have live music everyday. But was not an issue at all! Loved it! The beach is affected by the tides in extreme ways, but you are still able to swim and snorkeling is possible. Lots of water activities available around. There is a lot of sea urchins in the water and water shoes are recommended! The seating at the pool that looks onto the beach was defnitely our favourite spot! Will we stay here again: absolutely!!!
