We travelled to Zanzibar for a family vacation as a group of 8 (5 adults and 3 teens) The hotel is located almost 1 hour away from city center and airport so that is why it feels like a sanctuary. A few years ago we stayed at TUI Blu in Turkiye, so that was the reason we have chosen the hotel online. The staff was amazing. They were kind and caring in all occasions. Especially Mr Ally and Mr Djuma were very informative about hotel amenities and also close by sight seeing tours. Our room was big enough for 4 people with beach view which was great. House keeping staff were also very professional and all areas were clean and relatively new. No need to bring travel chargers they have european plugs in the room too. The always put beers and soft drinks ini minibar with choices of instant coffee and teabags. Beach and pool areas are wide and clean. The bars and restaurants are very well decorated with extended varieties of food and drinks. ( We stayed all inclusive board so besides whisky and imported spirits everything was almost free of charge) The sea is clean and beautiful however you should follow the tides sometimes it draws back to ocean in the mornings. Towel race starts around 9-10 which is normal for a resort. The dinner cuisines were rich mainly Asian, African, European with variety of cold and cooked dishes(all kinds of meats including pork and seafood). Breakfasts and lunches were also well served. A la carte reaturants were easy to reserve and offered amazing dishes with good wines. (Green grill is the best one in both lunch and dinner) We booked in 3 months advance so the price was a good bargain in terms of value for money. Our kids spent a lot of time in football and bech volley fields they also watched Euros in the evenings so there are plenty of distractions for kids and teens too. We took 3 tours out of hotel. Firstly Stone town and Prison Island ( must see Freddy Mercury house included) then Dolphin and coral tour(Nothing special) and then to the Rock Restaurant and Spice Farms( nice to have but not a world wonder) each day hotel gave us sandwich and drink packages for our trips. Finally why I gave 99/100? The filtered coffee in the breakfast restaurant was amazing but they don't serve it in other bars and meals all day :)) If you like coffee like me, you should order half espresso half hot water in other meals and bars because their americano is very strong.
