酒店挨着動物園和火車站，位置很方便。很有年代感的酒店，房間有暖氣，冬天很舒服。因為舉架比較高，房間也顯得寬敞。跟很多歐洲酒店比起來，房間面積算大了。酒店有停車場，一晚上18歐元，對自駕來説比較方便。

Einrichtung, Grösse des barrierefreien Zimmers (533) sind wie immer bei den Radisson Hotels angenehm großzügig und wirklich toll, der Schlafkomfort bzgl. der Matratze vorzüglich, die Freundlichkeit des Empfangspersonals besonders, die Fenster dichten perfekt gegen Geräusche des Verkehrs ab. Leider war das Badezimmer nicht ordentlich gereinigt, die Spuren der Nutzung des „Vormieters“ erheblich sichtbar, das Zimmer allgemein leicht staubig. Eine massive Zumutung ist der enorme kontinuierliche Geräuschpegel des unmittelbar an das Zimmer angrenzenden Klimaanlagen-Maschinenraumes, der lediglich in der Nacht bis gegen 4.30h nicht hörbar ist. Da ich permanent in Hotels unterwegs bin, bin ich weniger geräuschempfindlich, allerdings war dem Lärm nicht einmal mit Oropax und Bettdecke beizukommen. Pech gehabt!

Die Lage des Hotels war Top. Es war mitten in der Stadt und vor der Tür war mehrere Restaurant und Lokale. Außer gibt es einen Fitnessraum mit einige Geräten und andere Trainingsutensilien zur freien Verfügung. Die Getränke in der Minibar war kostenfrei. Die Mitarbeiter hatten sich Mühe gegeben. Bei der Sauberkeit kann noch etwas verbessert werden aber alles in allem war es ein schönes Hotel.

Das Hotel ist etwa 10 Gehminuten vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt. Zum Einchecken des Appartment Teils des Hotels verwendet man auch die Rezeption des normalen Hotels. Dies ist nicht gleich ersichtlich. Zunächst hatte ich Appartment 1. (Fotos) Das dritte angekündigte Bett ist hier nur ein Sessel! Da es hier einen lauten Brummton fab der sich nicht abschalten liess habe ich ein neues Appartment im ersten Stock bekommen. Hier gab es eine große Schlafcouch zusatzlich zum Bett. Diese war leider bereits komplett ausgeklappt und bezogen so dass viel Raum belegt war. In beiden Appartments müsste mal wieder richtig geputzt werden. Auf den Schrankdecken der Kuchenzeile war jeweils eine große Staubschicht. Das Bett selbst war groß und sehr angenehm. Durch den motorisierten Rolladen wird es wirklich dunkel. Die Fenster dämmen allen Lärm von außen im Haus ist es aber recht hellhörig. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche könnte besser sein und der Duschgelspender war leer und nicht wieder aufgefüllt. Ebenso die Teebeutel anreiche die in Appartment 1 Teebeutel enthielt aber in Appartment 16 nicht aufgefüllt wurde nach dem letzten Gast. WLAN lief stabil.

Free parking. Room is clean and just nice. There's a small kitchen but without any cooking tools so unless you're bringing cooking tools, you can't cook. It is out of nowhere and it looks like a conversion of office building to hotel rooms. I have no issue with it and it worked out for me.

If we could give this hotel a review of 10/5 we would. We stayed for an extended time (16 days) and during that time we experienced the best and friendliest service. The reception staff was always friendly and cheerful. Everyone was ready to help with any question we had. Breakfast was amazing. The selection was terrific. And every morning we were greeted by the pleasant and happy staff. One staff member told me she loves her job. Who doesn't want to stay in a hotel where the staff love working? Several days my mother who travelled with me was ill and the staff made it so easy for me to take breakfast to her in the room. The room was terrific. We requested the accessible room and were not disappointed. Despite Ettlingen not being the most wheelchair friendly, Stadthotel Engel had every accessibility need addressed. The front entrance has no stairs. They have an elevator that stops at the breakfast room level. The bathroom in our room was wheelchair friendly with a raised toilet, fully accessible shower, and vanity that could accommodate a wheelchair underneath. We did not have a wheelchair but my mother has a walker which requires many of the same accommodations. The room has air conditioning for those who are concerned about that. The location is amazing. From the hotel you are directly in the old city and can walk to many stores, cafes, and restaurants. The hotel entrance is located in an inside court area where there are tables that can be enjoyed during the nice weather.

Nice hotel in the heart of the city , easy to get from the train station to the hotel , also walking distance from karlsruhe schloss , staatliches museum , and Christmas market , located on the town Main Street that is full of shops , restaurants , its common to see people struggle with the check in process can be confusing and not for everyone so they should improve the check in machine
