Bumi Hills Safari Lodge

An all round amazing experience at Bumi, whether it was the excellent rooms the overall layout of the resort the fantastic views of the bush and Lake Kariba, the superb food. But what made it really special was the exceptional staff throughout Bumi, who could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and who were always accommodating. Everyone was smiling and happy. A special shout out to Mazvie, Tongai, Little Max, Simeon and Sheckie! Thank you!

Bumi is very special! It’s definitely a place you come to relax and not your traditional safari lodge! Don’t expect big game and adventure! Enjoy the laid back vibes and go on lake cruises, village visits and go fishing! It was such a highlight of my stay! Nyasha, Simeon, Lemon, Sunshine every single person there went above and beyond! I know I’m leaving out names! Thank you my time was wonderful!

Wonderful place, wonderful people, best safari guide, excellent food . The room is very comfortable and luxurious. We had walking safari and game drives and village tour. All done in the best way. Our guide was excellent. We enjoyed good food

A luxurious place to stay with monkeys, baboons and all other sorts of amazing wildlife and views right at your doorstep. Special shoutout to Power for being the best tour guide and for keeping us entertained and safe for our entire stay. Highly recommend the fishing. The lodge is stunning, the food is delicious and the staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful.

This is a really delightful quality lodge perched on a beautiful hill overlooking the Lake Kariba to the north. The airstrip is a short drive away. The air-conditioned rooms are spotless and great. The staff are really brilliant -- attentive and friendly. There is a lovely infinity pool from which you can watch the elephants and hippos down below. There is even a snooker room. This is more of a luxury retreat than an out-and-out safari lodge. You can pretty much mingle with the large herds of different animals on the plains below the hotel and you can go for extensive walks with the guides. I can heartily recommend this place.

This is a really beautiful place,good place to rest after a 12 days in the bush. The air conditioning was most welcome. The vista over Lake Kariba is stunning , rooms large you can sit in bed & see the Lake. Everything you need stocked fridge , large shower, gowns & slippers, charging points,hair dryer, safe to mention a few . It’s very quiet when I was there so looked after like royalty, but I’m sure you always are. Nothing too much trouble,I don’t eat meat, & there was plenty of variety to choose from. Sunset cruise beautiful, game drives gentle but fantastic to watch the animals come to drink at the lake & observe their games & habits. I had a wonderful time but think it is a place for couples & families more than solos. However would return in the quieter times. Oh a shout out to the staff they were superb caring & friendly
