Elewana the Manor Ngorongoro

My wife and I just celebrated our 50th the anniversary by staying in four of Elewana's lodges. Each was dramatically different in style but all shared one common theme of great location, 5 star service, food and accommodations, complimentary laundry service and safari jeeps. You could easily book your own safari and not use one of the big tour companies. Each resort made you feel at home with wonderful one on one staff. Including celebrating our anniversary in each of the locations. The Manor At Ngorongoro had all the amenities of a luxury hotel. Beautiful English style manor with beautiful manicured grounds. Food was like a star restaurant. Great wine list and fully stocked bar. If I ever go back to Africa, I will definitely use Elewana again.

It is such a magical place, so clean such amazing staff, beautiful manner and they organize the activities as you want. We went to the crater, which is such an amazing experience. All around it’d been incredible. We loved our butler Sigi. Highly recommend!

The Manor is an exceptional lodging, combining luxury, great food, wonderful staff, and gorgeous surroundings into one remarkable package. Our group of 10 all enjoyed our stay, and were sad that we had only 2 nights to enjoy all that this place and area has to offer. Shariff made sure that our meals were excellent with his great sense of humor and attention to detail. Our drivers Andrew and Emanuel were very skilled at finding animals and providing great information on our game drives at Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater. While next very close to the Crater (90+ minute drive), we felt that the Manor was still a great choice.

My wife and I stayed at the Manor whilst on a Micato Safari. We were with a group of eleven exploring the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Maryana National Park. After exploring each day we were greeted with warm wet clothes to cleanse the dust off our faces and a hot bubble bath. Later after a 5 course gourmet dinner and social time we returned to our suite being greeted with fire in the fireplace and a bottle of non-alcohol (requested) bottle of wine. We had a fabulous stay at the Manor! We enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful accommodations! The grounds are beautiful. You are surrounded by the coffee plants! We also enjoyed the coffee tour. Learned quite a bit about the coffee business! It was great!

Unparalleled luxury and service in the hills of Ngorongoro We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our two-night stay at The Manor at Ngorongoro during our honeymoon. Located just 30 minutes away from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, The Manor constantly wowed us with its beautiful grounds, fantastic lodging and attentive and caring staff. Located on the grounds of the coffee plantation, the grounds of the Manor are absolutely spectacular — offering a peaceful escape after a long day spent on a game drive. Some of our favorite memories are relaxing on the patio, smelling the roaring fire and enjoying a sundowner. (The espresso martinis are fantastic, as are the bar staff — who are a riot). The grounds are beautifully maintained and also fenced off, so no need to worry about wildlife entering the premises or escorts back to your room after dinner. The rooms themselves are absolutely wonderful, offering plenty of space, a fireplace that is lit up every night after dinner, and a luxurious clawfoot bathtub. Everything about our room was so elegant and relaxing. As for the staff, Aneth was so attentive in taking care of us at breakfast and dinner — helping us with anything that we needed. The food was immaculate, while the entire staff also treated us to a private dinner for our honeymoon on our final night — including a special assortment of our names decorated with coffee beans. Special shoutout to Altus for the fantastic wine recommendations, as well as Shariff — who was always cracking jokes whenever we saw him and was so friendly.. The Manor itself is a luxury accommodation straight out of a postcard, but it was the staff that really made our stay so memorable. We can’t recommend the Manor enough!
