Kisima Ngeda Camp

Gorgeous, almost unreal, setting and experience. The tents were so luxurious, spacious, clean and comfortable. Sleeping to the sounds of palm trees blowing in the wind was so serene. They served AMAZING food, and plenty of it, for all meals. We had a super early start one morning and they brought coffee and breakfast bites to our room. The pool is wonderful, and the gin & tonic served poolside made it even better. The staff took us on a hike for an amazing sundowner view complete with snacks and drinks that they brought up followed by a lakefront bonfire. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Kisima Tented Camp with absolutely stunning view of Lake Eyasi with beatiful sunsets and birds on the lake. The Tent was beatifully decorated and the service was impeccable with morning coffee delivered, and best meals we had of our entire stay.

I went to the lovely Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp to do some research and work with the Hadzabe tribe and was fortunate enough to be connected with this fantastic lodge. The tents were beyond comfortable, with amazing views and easy access. The food was stellar and the services was top notch. My co-worker and I felt so taken care of and provided for that it made all aspects of what we were trying to accomplish easy and feasible. We spent a good amount of time at their Fly Camp location as well, which was out in a very remote area. The tents there were comfortable and the food they provided, even out in this location, was 5 star. We became friends with our guides and chef and felt like we were immediately ingratiated into their community like family. They provided unparalleled access to the Hadzabe tribe and we had an experience that will stay with us for a lifetime. I went there for work and ended up making relationships and participating in a lifestyle that gave me great perspective on life in general to take home with me. I hope I have the opportunity to return someday with my family as it's definitely something that everyone should experience and enjoy. Thank you to the entire Kisima Ngeda team!

We love the tent which is right next to Lake Eyasi, and the attentive service. We particularly enjoyed the evening walk with the hotel guide to the lake shore and the on top of the rock hill. The views were amazing and we saw flocks of migratory birds. The service we received from the restaurant was awesome too. The staff was always reaching out to check whether we need anything. The viewing tower in the property was well appointed, allowing us to take really nice photos while enjoying the view.

This was near the beginning of our 3-week safari to Tanzania, and it was splendid! Great location, excellent food and service, friendly staff, very comfortable room. My wife was sick for a day and they took very good care of her and us. We recommend Kisima Ngeda Camp very highly! Visits to the local tribes (Datoga and Hadza) were highlights and you should not miss them.

Excellent place, marvelous landscape, rooms and food. The best: staff members and their service. People very kind and charismatic, they made us to feel like at home. They also organized some wonderful plans to us, like going up to a rock and see the sunset. There is nothing to improve, everything excellent

My husband, son and I spent one night here between visiting the Datoga and Hadzabe tribes nearby. The place is simply stunning! It is sympathetically built on the edge of Lake Eyasi with thatched-roofed tents that offer an incredible view of the abundant wildlife around the lake: storks, flamingos and pelicans among them. The room was large with a separate area at the back for shower and toilet. Everything was to a high standard. Our welcome was warm and everyone was eager to please. The bar and restaurant areas are authentically decorated and relaxing with a drink there is highly recommended! There is a swimming pool which my son was straight into and a viewing tower over the lake. The camp also offers a climb up to a sunset viewing spot and a guided walk, but we did not have time to do either of these - we were more than happy to relax and enjoy the view from the main building. The food - wow, the food! There is a set menu which is served to your table. As I am a pescatarian, they made me a fish dish whilst everyone else had chicken - it was not a problem to them at all. We had a 5:15am wake up call with coffee, hot chocolate and granola bars delivered to our tent before we went hunting with the Hadzabe tribe. We then returned for brunch - so much food! Breads, cereal, salads, pizza, meat, fish - it just kept on coming! This is the perfect place to begin to unwind following a safari and I highly recommend it.

The tent was great. We felt like we were in the wilds, but were safe from the wildlife. The restaurant served some of the best food we ate on our 3 week trip. We were super impressed by their ability to handle complex food allergy issues. Next to the lake you will want to take care and wear deet as there are mosquitoes.

We stayed two nights at Kisima Ngeda. The tented lodge is charming even if it’s inauguration dates back some twenty years. Taking this into account, the upsides prevail. Staff is so friendly, you hardly feel as guest but rather a long not seen friend. Everyone is eager to make you feel comfortable. This includes Nani and Christian, the owners. Nani was around to greet us and introduce us to the location. Christian came at dinner time to ask about our plans, whether we would need a wake-up visit including coffee/ tea and tropical juice and some bisquits the next morning before heading for our trip to the Hadzabe tribe nearby. It was a very personal exchange, one that once again made us feel amongst friends. From breakfast to dinner, meals were excellent. The ‚chef de cuisine‘ and the service crew did everything to please us. I tried to convey to the kitchen, that the meals were delicious, yet too much, and quantity might be reduced, but what do good friends do? Smile and add another plate ;) I cannot name everyone, but we do remember Mike (just call me) as well as Esekiel, who accompanied us for a walk to the lake, the waiters…, they all have a place in our hearts. The place is superb for bird and sunset watching. As honeymooners, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne, that was served at the perch overlooking the public space, the lake with lots of birds and the surroundings. The friendliness of the people, who we met in Tanzania, is beyond imagination. God bless them and their families, the country as well as the jobs that they are performing in. Asante sana! Klaus & Amal
