Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp

All the way from reception to kwaheri was memorable. The rooms are clean very comfortable spacious and sooo serene. Staff are awesome. The chef and manager made personal visit at our tables to ensure we’re comfortable. The chef even gave us a special on our last day. Awesome. Animal seeing and watering zone is a major plus very near yet very safe and the animals did not disappoint. The area around was safe for our daily morning walk/jogs which we really enjoyed. The Pool experience was also good. This a place sure to come again

The camp is perfectly located. Not too far from Nairobi and its just sits right next to Lake Elementaita and its always a beautiful morning as you wake up to the views of the sleeping warrior hills and lake. The staff is more than friendly to always help and the activities in the camp keep you buzzing. The food is top tier and my top 2 highlights at the camp are the night game drives where you actually feel one with nature. And Archery. Really thankful to Lamek the manager, Aloice the archery instructor and Mohammed our driver the knowledge he has of the animal kingdom is insane. Wait wait wait.... I almost forgot my third highlight. Horse riding in the lake It is so surreal.

Our experience at the Lake Elmenteita is best described as 5 Star glamping! The place is gorgeous! Rich foliage, wildlife, beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds and spa like bathrooms and showers with hot water!! All the staff were very nice. Food was excellent ( with the exception of the “essence of fish soup”… would not recommend that) . I also had an amazing deep tissue massage at the Spa- very reasonable prices! We took a short drive to the Lake and saw quite a bite of wildlife and beautiful sunset! Highly recommend!!

Good food..amazing ambiance..the birds chirping..singing..ooh my....so quiet..the view of the lake takes the stress away.. I would recommend this anytime..to someone looking to relax away from.the busy city life.. The different trees.. Very friendly staff.. Beautiful sunsets

My stay was awesome, and loved the hospitality of the staff. Mr. Stanley who was my waiter during my stay went overboard to ensure my requests for meals were as desired. The rooms were always cleaned and the pool so refreshing. I was happy to have my bags carried by the staff from the parking area, though I wasn’t informed that this service was charged. I therefore found it surprising to find “Tourist Transport” charged on my final invoice. It would be courteous to inform your customers of anything that would attract charges once they set foot on the premises and not merely assume that since they are already here, they will pay for it.

We had two rooms (4 and 5) for one night as we were passing through Nakuru towards Masai Mara. Wilson is on the point and he had everything arranged with our tour agent (Kipe) as we stayed in Serena Ol Pejeta a night before :) We were greeted by him and his team at the check-in. They showed us the property (which is insanely located in middle of mountains overlooking the lake - full of Flamingoes and Migratory birds). They also have a watering hole on the other side of fence where you can see so many wild animals. Suites are super luxurious and it takes class/elegance to another level. The showers are huge, bathrooms will beat at 5/6 star hotel bathrooms. The four poster bed is huge and comfy. Food is set menu but we had no issues even with most of us being strict vegetarian. This is some of the best food we had on 16 day trip in Africa. Chef does mastery in both cooking and presentation. The risotto was top notch and so was the soup :) Hand made Ice creams to close the night after a long game drive and some amazing pancakes in the AM with some side dishes were our highlight. Erick was our server and he never ever said no to any asks :) Steven, Caroline, Dorothy, Jason, Wilson all run a very tight ship ! Thanks for all the love and hospitality :) highly recommended in Lake Nakuru area :)
