Hotel Buddha's Abode- Best Hotel in McleodGanj Main Market

Enjoyed some time in Mcleodganj and chose to stay at Buddhas Abode. I ended up extending my 3 night stay for another 2 nights and changed to the lovely corner room in 3rd floor (301). Would highly recommend this room for the incredible view. Despite the hotel being on the main area with busy road, the room was set back a bit which made a difference. Earplugs are still advisable as dogs do bark early in the morning. Also can hear noise from neighbouring room, peacefulness can be somewhat determined by who your neighbours are! But despite this it was very comfortable and clean and would recommend. Rakesh at reception was always friendly and helpful!

The staff were exceptionally cooperative and courteous, especially Mr Chaman Sharm, who displayed remarkable humility. Very clean and spacious rooms. I highly recommend this hotel. The Exceptional service combined with the hotel's prime location makes it an ideal choice for travellers.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with many attractions and amenities within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Excellent location with and affordable price... Came here with friends in July... Very good rooms and top tier facility... Really enjoyed my stay here. Also, restaurants are there on the ground floor in the same building...so good food is readily available too...thanks

The best place to stay, one minute walking distance from main square, Best mountain view from family suite room and the staff are very kind and cooperative, rooms are very clean . I am so glad we booked this place. Definately going to come back.

An unjustifiably high tariff was charged to me, i.e. 4704 for Room Only (without balcony) for two adults and a child. Upon reaching the hotel, I learned that the room that I had paid for through their own website was not available. However, the manager "upgraded" me to another room. The room was spacious and clean but it had a drainage pipe inside. Whenever the user of the adjacent room used their wash basin (or toilet, I am not aware), the gurgling sound kept disturbing my sleep. Poor Wi-Fi, weak geyser, no intercom, no in-house restaurant. We did not even get tea. We had to step outside and find food. Fortunately, there are many restaurants outside this hotel. Since the room that I was "upgraded" to was in this condition; I cannot imagine the room that I had actually booked which was smaller than this. Manager, Mr. Pandit Rakesh is the only silver lining in this situation. He is polite, courteous, professional and cooperative, and was running around and doing as much as he could to ensure that the place ran smoothly. The other staff members are also humble, but they need more hospitality training and the staff number needs to be increased to cater to the requirements of the guests. I feel I should have stayed in Dharamkot and come down to McLeodganj for sightseeing. I trust the management of this hotel values this feedback and sincerely works on the areas of improvement mentioned. Best wishes.
