Hotel Hornbill

I recently stayed at Hotel Hornbill in Guwahati, and it was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The entire place was a disaster from start to finish, and I would never recommend it to anyone. The rooms were completely unmaintained—covered in dust, with broken switchboards, and not a single plug point working. The air conditioner couldn’t be turned off because the switch didn’t work, and the remote they provided was useless. The flush didn’t work in any of the rooms where my group members were staying, except for one. When we requested an alternate room, they gave us one with a working flush, but the hand shower was broken. It felt like a never-ending list of problems. To make matters worse, the toilets were filthy—completely uncleaned. The commodes and bathrooms were so dirty they had turned black. It was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, there was no water for an entire day! The water ran out while I was bathing, leaving me stuck without being able to rinse off. The manager’s behavior was unbelievably rude, with zero remorse for the issues we faced. He didn’t even have the basic decency to check if everything was okay before we checked in. When we asked for clean bedsheets, they gave us used ones that literally had footprints all over them! It was beyond unhygienic. This place is a complete nightmare—overpriced, dirty, with broken amenities, and staff who couldn’t care less. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Hotel Hornbill.

The rooms were sooo filthy stinking, i would never suggest anyone to stay in there, the picture they show is just the opposite when u actually visit, wasted my money

The room is not cleaned, the bathroom fittings are broken, the room picture & the actual room are different, very bad service, food not available, cold breakfast given. Overall very bad experience, do not book this hotel.

Worst hotel. Old and dirtiest hotel. No repair wall. Linens were dirty n smells like rotten

Toilets were not clean the ac/ fan was not cooling the room bedsheets were dirty there were no attendants however the receptionist (only one guy) was helpful and not rude

One of the most worst hotel in entire north east india also in guwahati so dirty room dirty toilet dirty bed sheet pillow room. Dirty bad condition of room no response from staff bad hospitality services bad this hotel will bad impact

Uncleanliness, toilet flash not working, doors lock not working properly, breakfast quality is very poor

Amenities in this hotel are a total fail. The toilets are very dirty and the water tap is not working and leakage and water was wasted and no exhaust fan is in my room, the tv and local cable network is available there but they do not have an adapter for the set of box in my room and lots of mosquitoes also there in my room. I myself buy a good-knight liquid from the market to stay overnight.
