Sunrise Suites & Apartments

Most amazing hotel. Quiet in the early may but so relaxing 5 min walk from a little village 25 min drive from the town Chania which is £30 roughly in taxi or £5 each for the local bus. Beautiful beach near by. The pool is chlorine nice and refreshing has a Children pool and an adult pool. Inflatables are allowed which me and my partner loved as some we have previously stayed in don’t allow. The rooms are cleaned everyday nice spacious rooms with balcony’s overlooking the pool and the sea the sunsets are beautiful almost every night! The staff have been more than welcoming so kind considerate always asking if we have everything we need chatting round the pool asking our plans for the day, if we had a nice day etc. The manager is very pleasant always making sure we have enjoyed our food and drinks. Offering any help and support if needed They may not have all inclusive but the food is outstanding, we had breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast could do with some more TLC but may get better into the height of the seasons. Lunch and dinner was delightful so many options and flavours. Really enjoyed the chicken club for lunch and the sausages as a starter in the restaurant. The rooftop restaurant wasn’t open when we first arrived but opened towards the end of our stay it’s beautiful overlooking the sea and mountains very relaxed with a modern design. Me and my partner have enjoyed our stay here and would be more than happy to come back. We didn’t want a party holiday so glad we booked this hotel it’s just what we wanted and more.

Wow! Just came back from a week here and it was amazing! Nikos & Konstantina are lovely, kind, engaging and passionate about their guests having a good time. We stayed in the two level Grand Maisonette (PanoramaView) self catering. The rooms were fantastic, clean, looked after. Cleaned everyday and fresh towels/bed linen. Kitchen was well stocked with the usual plates, bowls, cups, glasses, cutlery etc a nice surprise was the kettle AND coffee machine AND Briki pot for making Greek coffee PLUS new hand towels, sponges and washing up liquid. The biggest selling point of this place, apart from the staff were the views, just amazing! We had such a good time, we hope to be back in Sept/Oct. Thank you so much x

The accommodation was perfect. Very clean and well presented. The pool was lovely and for the time of year the weather was fantastic. Staff were unbelievably good; very friendly and extremely helpful. Overall it was a lovely break made even better by being here.

Had a lovely 2 weeks here. Pool area very nice and quiet and had breakfast 4 times and was very nice. Shout out to the cleaners, very efficient. Air conditioning was free and was a godsend in July/ August. The walk back up to the apar**ents from the town or beach especially with 6 bottles of water in the heat is a workout to say the least. Anyone with walking difficulties would struggle. All the hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Our only minor ****** was when we came to leave. If you have a later flight, check out is 12, and there are no private shower facilities. Shower round the pool, you can't use shampoo or products. First time in 20 years of travelling to Greece we have experienced this. Anyway,got through it. Enjoyed our stay here, thank you.

We are nearly at the end of our 11 night stay here. The staff are so warm and friendly, the hotel is so clean and wonderful food and drinks Our apar**ent is dated but exceptionally clean. There are plenty of sunbeds, throughout the day, there are 5 of us and never had any problems getting one The beach is a 5-10 minute walk, a steep short hill coming back up. Again plenty of sun beds at the beach, if you buy a drink at the restaurants down there, the beds tend to be free Lovely restaurants to choose from Overall, an incredible location, and beautiful hotel, one of the best holidays we have had and don’t want to leave! Would highly recommend you booking this hotel .

My Fiancé and I, spent 11 nights in Kalyves at Sunrise Suites. We had the most amazing time both here and the island itself. It was a nice a**osphere from the beginning. We had a studio type room with cooking facilities and fridge. The room was cleaned daily and the cleaners were all lovely. We upgraded to a junior suite which was worth doing in my opinion as it had a large balcony with amazing views. The staff here were all so welcoming and friendly (although I tried to speak Greek their English is amazing). The pool although shared is very large with plenty of sun loungers around. The apar**ents also have access to a restaurant and snack bar. We rented a car for the time we were in Crete which I recommend too, and there were parking facilities available. We would like to personally thank Nikos/Nik, Demetria and Maria. We loved staying here and you made our holiday amazing. ευχαριστώ!

We LOVED our stay! Went as a family of 10 & staff were very helpful (helped to book taxis & explain bus timetable). The beach bar was brilliant, serving drinks, snacks and breakfast! Highly recommend!

After reading all the reviews for this hotel we maybe had too much expectation. On arrival, which was early afternoon, the young lady on reception couldn't find our room key and we was a little rude about the fact we were from the UK. After finally getting into our room. It was nice. Spacious, clean, but unfortunately placed right on the roadside. If you do use this resort, I would highly recommend asking for a room right at the back. The road is very busy, and with it being on a sharp corner all you hear, night and day, is tyre squeals where people completely underestimate the curvature. Accompanied by a rooster with no idea of when dawn is, crowing between midnight and 5am (which we got used to and it actually became amusing) dogs barking and noisy neighbours within the resort and across the road, a restful sleep didn't happen on any night. Didn't see hardly any staff throughout the stay. I think they need to treat the guests who go out of season as good as they ones within season and then maybe this review would have been a little better. But clean, tidy, facilities were ok, mattresses quite hard, but I guess that is a personal choice. Shame we didn't experience what others had 😔

Warm welcome. Spacious room, very clean. Outstanding views. Friendly staff. Good location, close to shops and tavernas. Short walk, hill not so bad. I made it and not fit! Kalyves is a lovely unspoilt resort. Chania old town and harbour is good for a visit too. Thank you for a great holiday.
