Seagate Hotel

Not Recommended for a Relaxing Day Out I visited this hotel recently for a budget-friendly day out. While the lunch buffet had a good variety, the food itself was just average—most dishes had no real taste, and many items were too sweet. The customer service and the welcome were very poor—we had to repeatedly approach the staff to request basic things, as they were often standing around chatting with each other instead of attending to guests. Changing rooms were not clean, and the facilities in general felt neglected. The buffet was poorly presented with no name tags on the dishes. When we asked the staff, they told us the names of the items but said the name tags were “somewhere on the buffet—just find and eat.” The chefs in white uniforms were also not very presentable or polite when answering questions. Our dining table was dirty, with insects and ants running around. Even after we informed the staff, they just wiped the table quickly with tissues and left without offering a proper solution. We ended up having our meal surrounded by ants. Another serious concern was the pool area—there was no pool guard on duty, and no clear pool rules displayed anywhere, which felt very unsafe, especially with so many people around. On weekends, the hotel gets extremely crowded, making it hard to enjoy any of the facilities comfortably. Overall, I do not recommend this place if you expect good service, cleanliness, or a pleasant atmosphere. It may be okay if you just want a low-cost option and don’t mind all the issues.

Today I have been participate my relations homecoming reception at seagate hotel kalutara need to mention following F&B service was very unprofessional no supervision at all befor the service they have removed all b&b plates There was no chef in charge to see tha buffet Food was very horrible even it was sri lanka buffet food quality sero I don't mind no of items but it was very tasteless mean it was watery food There was no value for money You have to think about your customer I have recommended to think customers to before they choose seagate twice threwise. You have to recruit good sri lanka cooks and see what they cook now a days people know quality and tast you can not cheat them I am 30years experience hotelier in 5 star most of them dont know the hotel system and ther service don't take it as advantage to sell your products

We had our honeymoon at seagate hotel and it's a calm & beautiful place couples like us. Further, it has very friendly staff and we had different verities of food and beverages. If you plan to visit a place near beach,calmfull and fair price you have the seagate hotel. Thank you very much. Lahiru Chathuranga
