Aloe Hotel – Adults Only

Well,what a nice place to visit and stay. We arrived at the hotel and greeted by a lovely young lady(sorry I don’t have a name)was directed to our room which was very clean and well prepared.we took a wander down for dinner where we met several members of staff who are all very attentive and friendly. Food was ok,not a huge choice or change through the week but it was all ok. We met kralis who was very professional and explained how the restaurant and breakfast all worked which was great too.as the week went on we met and got to know most of the guys at the bar and restaurant (martist,evi,alionis,Tasso and mikalos)excuse spellings,you guys really did make our holiday. From lovely cocktails to helping with local phrases and where to go.i felt for you all during the heatwave!I’ve seen people saying wasps and insects were a problem at the hotel? We did have wasps about the food once or twice but the guys made a lot of effort to stop this and regarding insects yes we did see a few but this was not in our room or restaurant/bar only in the pool area at night but the hotel is situated in a very dry area surrounded by fields so I’d expect this?all pools where cleaned daily and it’s a well run hotel. Pool was great and so was the jacuzzi. Town is only a short 15 min walk away too which is nice to go for walks and food. In all a great place for the money. Would definitely go back,just to else the staff. Thank you again to all the staff Signed, 007………………

This hotel is very aesthetically pleasing, it has a lovely chilled vibe and all the staff have been so helpful and charming, nothing was ever too much trouble. It’s catered really to couples, mostly young ones, but older too and friends, so we didn’t feel out of place at all. The only negative I would say is that the breakfast is a bit basic, does cover all bases, but would benefit from fresh juices or smoothies as the offerings were undrinkable and fresh omelettes too maybe, I did think it wasn’t reflective for the hotel, that said the lunches we tried were lovely and the drinks too. Also the sun loungers were reserved very early, so beware as there’s not enough to go round, we did report and they did next day then magic some more. The hotel is situated up a slight hill, near a couple supermarkets for your supplies for the supplied fridge, which is great and a safe is in the room too, only 4 hangers though, so pack your own! Rooms are compact and bijou, but no complaints and no noises heard at night with door slammers, beds comfy. Enjoy this hotel as it is lovely and relaxing and has a great vibe and Fakiraki has it all going on and only a short walk away and the beach too. Top tip… Desert Rose restaurant, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Hotel Aloe.

Dreadful, full of cockroaches in the rooms and don’t get the room you have booked (no private pool), genuinely wouldn’t say better than 2*, management are rude and elusive (never seen once we wanted to raise a complaint about waiting 2 days to get the room we had booked)

On arrival, we checked in to the hotel and were given keys to our room to which we discovered they were nothing like the pictures online. The bathroom was dirty, the mirrors were chipped and cracked and the room was very dingy . We had booked a “sea view” room and were extremely disappointed when we could only see the hotel car park. So immediately displeased, we went down to reception to ask for a new room or at least something like the pictures. The lady on reception, Aggeliki, was extremely rude and passive aggressive when I confronted her about the issue. Her excuse for the cracked mirrors was that “some mirrors just come like that”. After arguing for 10 minutes after such a long flight and tired, we were given an alternative room that we just took as we were exhausted and couldn’t be bothered with the hassle. The room was still very basic and nothing like the pictures. For example, the view only overlooked the rest of the hotel, the bed and pillows were rock solid and the room was infested with ants. However, we continued on with the holiday after already seeing how stubborn the staff were and that we would not get anywhere with complaining. When we went to the buffet for breakfast the next morning, we were surprised to see how simple the food was. There were a lot of flies around, the food was cold, and the bacon resembled ham. When we expected fresh fruit for breakfast and were instead served dry, outdated-looking canned fruit, we were largely let down. The cake, bread, and donuts were also really solid and stale. Their hesitation and security on towels was another thing we found to be really odd. We were informed that we needed to provide our room number and ask for towels at reception. Up until the second day, when the receptionist advised us to get a towel without asking, I complied with this requirement. When I went to get a towel the next day, a different receptionist told me that I couldn't just take a towel without asking, which made us feel like young children. She came across as really rude about this and was by no means polite about it.Their hesitation and security on towels was another thing we found to be really odd The hotel is 100% not a 4 star, I would not recommend and we will not be returning.

The hotel has chosen wisely with their staff . Maritsa and the lovely young girl with the pony tail were really good at being attentive but unobtrusive. The boys were all good too. I wanted to bring Maritsa home to work with me !!! Really lovely stay. Thank you all for everything

A great place for relaxation - sun, pool, restaurant and bar. A hotel for adults. If you need a beach, you can get to it in 10-12 minutes. Grocery store 5 minutes away. Kind and welcoming service staff. Special thanks to Eleni and Rania. Everything was great!
