Extremely professional front desk staff. Check in was quick and easy. Hotel was very clean. Good breakfast. The bar staff was beyond awesome. They made you feel like family. i am a flight attendant, so I have stayed in many of hotels. I have never seen or experienced a bar/ restaurant staff as accommodating as the staff here. I would go back to this establishment just to experience the bar staff again. From Mr. M the manager all the way to the bartenders as well as the servers where beyond professional. There’s a few I would like to mention and thank all they did and the attention that they gave to us. I would like to give a personal thanks to and shout out to Kgomotso Kagiso Werner Thamie Zamokuhle Tshepang Makgotso Thanks for everything Thank you, thank you for all that you did. I definitely would come back to experience all of you alls,hospitality and service

Big shout out to Executive chef Melusi and Junior Sous Chef Anna for going above and beyond, to accommodate a request of a meal that wasn’t on the menu, the food was very delicious, I can’t express my gratitude to them both. Thank you so much for this kind act. I appreciate the both of you!!

If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would! As we checked in the team at the counter: Hellen, Palesa and Nolwazi provided us excellent service. The Breakfast was superb and the hotel is conveniently 25-30 minutes from the airport. We highly recommend this location for any family or couples traveling. Thank You!

From the moment Mduduzi (who tour guided us both way and was amazing) picked us up from the airport to the moment he dropped us back off, our stay at Melrose Arch was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I travel A LOT all over the world in all types of accommodations from hostels to luxury hotels and I have never in my life had the level of customer service and genuine fun as I had from this staff. We made some of the fastest friends who made us feel like family for every second of our stay. Jean, Nakendi, Sweetness, Duma, and Lethabo were the absolute highlights of our stay. My face still hurts from smiling and laughing with them! I am truly going to miss every one of them! We usually wander out and about a lot more but aside from our tour with Happy who was also incredible, we didn’t want to leave the hotel because we were having so much fun with them. Every single one of the staff members were so helpful and kind and JOYFUL…I will have to come back to just hang out with my friends more :). In addition to the staff the hotel its self is gorgeous and the rooms are insanely comfortable. If I had enough money or points to move in, I would haha. Also, the food in the lounge was UNBELIEVABLY good!! We literally did not buy food or eat anywhere else for our entire stay, I could not get over it being complimentary for the gourmet quality it is! The customer appreciation wine tasting was also SO much fun! Please give all of them a big Christmas bonus and giant raises because they deserve the entire world! Thank you for everything and I can’t wait to come back!

Excellent Hotel in Melrose Arch a gated secure and safe dining and shopping area. We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of of South African holiday as we were flying home from Joburg . Hotel has lovely pool area with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas although the poolside drinks and food choice was very limited with no cocktails which was a shame . The breakfast was okay but not a patch on the Bangkok Marriotts breakfast buffet . We stayed in a pool view room on the 1st floor which was lovely and quiet , Rooms are modern, comfortable and very clean . The archers bar at the hotel is very good and the food there was excellent also . Highly recommend staying here .

Wonderful check in and hotel bar. The pool and spa were great. My room was upgraded and very spacious. Room service food was bland. Great location; recommend walking to Grill House for dinner. Make a reservation. Check in staff were very nice. The restaurant bar tender made recommendations for us and always served us another round without having to ask. Staff were excellent.

This is a high-end hotel in a safe, upscale area of Johannesburg. Rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable and fairly large in size. The hotel has a couple of restaurants, bars, beautiful pool area, and great service overall. There are plenty of other restaurants, bars and shopping within a short walking distance (all within the Melrose area gated area). There is a McLaren and Aston Martin showroom nearby if you want to check that out as well :-) My hotel room rate included a breakfast buffet (fabulous!) and free wifi. While the pricing may be on the higher side - the hotel certainly lives up to a 4+ star rating. Very nice overall

The food menu has improved, in terms of quality and variety during breakfast. The personal had been nice, there were some minor problems but the people were always happy to help and assist. I would book again this afternoon pace for future stays.
