Hongyue Express Hotel

I don’t usually complain, and do try to be nice, but this hotel was a total disappointment. When shown to our room we found no door on the shower or bathroom and the mouldy aircon stopped working after 15 minutes. We asked for another room and were obliged. The new room had no glass in the window frame so hot air and bugs were able to enter, so we declined. A third room was offered which had a massive noisey machine right by the window -we said no, unacceptable and she agreed. They finally offered a room that was dank, dark and very old. We were tired so settled on it on the basis the aircon was not broken. But through the night, the aircon began to sound like a piece of farm machinery. The bed felt like sleeping on an ironing board. This by far has been our worst accom in China and cost more than most we’ve booked. If you want to be right in the middle of the busiest road and truly don’t care at all about where you sleep, then this would be ok.
