First of all, this is not actually a hotel. It is a group of several rooms on the second floor of an old building. There is no lobby, no restaurant, and only a receptionist who can only be reached during business hours. Based on location and the photos on their website, I booked a 4 night stay with my family. The first night we were there, no one could sleep. There is a nightclub directly across the street from the hotel, with POUNDING music until the early hours of the morning. You have no idea how loud it was-- the entire hotel room was shaking. Our second night there, between 2:00 am and 5:30 am there were ear-piercingly loud sirens going off throughout the night. Again, no one could sleep. I called and texted the front desk, but no one answered. I actually got dressed and walked down to the street to investigate, and it turned out to be a malfunctioning police siren in the street below. Not the hotel's fault, but still-- no ability to sleep. In the morning, I talked to the guy working the front desk, and he very kindly gave us two different upgraded rooms. This, unfortunately did not help because one of the "upgraded" rooms he gave us was again facing the all night disco. On our third night there, the disco was blasting all through the night. It was so loud that my wife actually recorded the volume to show the person working at the front desk the next morning. My wife and daughter-- the ones staying in the room facing the night club-- did not sleep at all that night. The following morning, my daughter was too sick from lack of sleep to come with us for the day's activities. We played the audio of the blasting nightclub noise to the woman at the front desk, and she seemed genuinely surprised, and assured us that she would speak to her manager. The management texted me later that day and told me to keep in mind that their website describes the hotel as being located in a "busy and bustling area," with "restaurants, bars, cafes and clubs." But this is not actually true. The front page of their website says that "Hotel Noel is providing a quiet stylish escape..." Yes, the rooms are stylish, but they are definitely not quiet. If actually being able to sleep in your hotel room is important to you, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.
