Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace

From the moment we arrived, every single member of staff was friendly and welcoming.serving fizz and carrying our bags. Nothing is too much trouble! Food was excellent, great choice and always piping hot. Meats grilled to order were fantastic, as was the pasta made to order. Great selection of drinks and great white Rioja. Also nice to have a mini bar and room service available. I love that there are water machines everywhere, a glass carafe in your room to top up and topped up our water bottles all the time. The only suggestion I’d make is to have more indoor seating in the bar, every night we had to perch at the bar until a seat became available. Which was fine but not ideal. Drinks and snacks were great but sometimes the table service wasn’t as good as in the day. We had a swim up room which was lovely. Bit odd that it’s by the main pool but as the sun was the opposite way it didn’t cause any privacy issues. As others have mentioned, there’s no sun after about 2pm but worked perfect for us, we sunbathed after breakfast then had lunch and went out or went to the gym which is very well equipped. Make sure you book the teppanyaki restaurant. Food is superb and, it’s so much fun! The housekeeping staff came by at least three times a day to check if we needed anything and turned down our beds at night. Great hotel, I’d highly recommend!

Amazing hotel, this is our second time visiting. We have not been disappointed. We first came in April 2024 and the sea view room we had was fab so have requested it again by emailing the hotel. They replied stating they would try but could not guarantee anything. When we checked in, the receptionist mentioned our request and said they were able to get us into the room next to the one we had last year. This made our stay even better as the location of the room was perfect for what we needed and so quiet too. All the staff at this hotel work hard and are always smiling and saying ‘hola’ I didn’t use the pools as swam in the ocean most days. I felt safe as there is a lifeguard at the beach but it’s also possible to swim where the water is not too deep. The water was perfect for swimming in April and so clear too, goggles are a must so you can see the little fish near the rocks. Food and drink at this hotel were top notch as was the Japanese restaurant. We were lucky to get the last booking before it closed for renovation. At the buffet there was something for everyone and the desserts were so delicious and hard to just have one!! I used the spa for the circuit which was nice and relaxing but could be better if it was a little warmer, the steam room didn’t give out much steam and there was no relaxing music playing in the actual spa. There was some in the reception area . Also, would be nice to have a water dispenser within the spa and not outside near the toilets. I still enjoyed it and found it relaxing. We hope to come back to this beautiful hotel once it has been refurbished. I hope the staff you have will be retained as they are truly wonderful!! So refreshing to see the same staff that worked at the hotel last year. As a side note, this hotel is not really suitable for children 1+ Not much for them to do in the hotel and resort. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so wonderful ❤️

Staff are very attentive, rooms are great with fantastic shower. Mini bar in room is replenished daily, brilliant. Nice bed turn-down service with lovely chocolates in the evening. 10 minute walk takes you to the local shops for any additional requirements. Very clean hotel. Food is absolutely amazing, can’t wait to come back.

This was our second stay in the hotel after staying for the same week last year (first week of March). We booked a side sea view room for 3 adults and as we booked direct with the hotel we could choose our room so we had the same room as last year (8427). Upon arrival in the hotel the familiar smell instantly hit us and it just made it feel like we never left. The first impression at check in wasn’t great, there was a queue and rather than sitting people down to give them a drink while they waited, we did have to queue quite a while before we were even acknowledged. However once we were seen to the check in was quick and we were offered a welcome drink. Our room was also ready early, we arrived about 1pm and so 2 hours ahead of official check in time. The bell boy was quick to take us to the room and all the staff were very friendly. The room was a good size, although for 3 adults it did lack storage. It was very quiet at night and always kept very clean. It also has an amazing view when you open the door into the corridor. We were missing a dressing gown when we arrived but reception were quick to rectify this. I also requested a kettle which they soon sorted out. We did also have an issue with the air conditioning and they sent someone out the evening we reported it and it was much better after that. The thing that makes this hotel is the staff, from all the cleaning staff, to the chefs, to the reception staff, to the waitresses and waiters, nothing is too much trouble. The omelette and pasta chef (Noreen I think was his name) remembered me and was always so happy. When we were in the restaurant Andres saw we had a steak a couple of times and brought over a steak knife without even being asked. Londono and Anthony also worked so hard and were so friendly in the restaurant. Merlyn in the sports bar was so kind, and so attentive, she knew what drinks we wanted before we even had to ask, we never had an issue getting drinks. Even by the pool they would come around with a drinks trolley and offer to take a drinks order, nothing was too much trouble. The food selection in this hotel is fantastic, there is show cooking from freshly grilled fish and meat to a pasta station, it really gives you everything you want. At night it also has a carvery station and in the morning freshly cooked eggs cooked to your liking. The foot was shot on the whole, occasionally it could be hotter. The plates were also hot. Compared to last year we felt the fruit selection had improved and there was also more choice of fish and meat. They even had lobster on the grill! There could be some more variety on the carvery or even a second carving station would be good. The potato and veg choice is also limiting, maybe there could be a good more choices, eg some roasted potatoes. The sweets can also be a bit limiting at times. This said the show cooking by the carvery every night changed and was really tasty and well presented. The only other negative I’d say is the labels

No better Hotel in Fuerteventura! Brilliant location, fantastic food and awesome staff. Staff very attentive, facilities first class. Food out of this world. A stone’s throw from the beach and very close to the town centre if you want to have a walk. Always sunbeds, and the pools are great. Staff come round offering cocktails on a regular basis, beer on tap and brand soft drinks available at all times. This is our second visit and will book again for next year. Cannot fault anything!

We returned from the Iberostar Selection last week, and wish we were still there! This hotel is by far the best all-inclusive we have ever stayed at. From the warm welcome, the exceptional service continued throughout the duration of our stay. Our room was lovely, having a sea view, and plenty of space. There was a large wardrobe, plenty of hangers and a big bathroom with a fab shower, toiletries, robes and lots of lovely soft towels. The main restaurant was lovely. There was plenty of room between the tables, and it was light and airy. The food itself was just exceptional in terms of quality and choice. There was something different every night, and during our stay we enjoyed steak, duck, lobster and so many different types of freshly cooked fish. There was a huge choice of salads, pasta, desserts and cheeses. We couldn’t fault the food at all. There were plenty of activities available every day, and although we chose only to take part in a couple of these, we did enjoy daily walks along the beach and went swimming in the sea a couple of times. There are shows each night, finishing around 10-10.30, at which point the majority of guests seems to go to bed. The bar does however, remain open until 12.30! If we had to choose one thing which set this hotel apart from others however, it would have to be the staff. They were simply amazing. They worked smoothly as a team, always smiling, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff certainly deserve acknowledgement as they definitely help to make this hotel what it is. Overall, we just had the best time in Fuerteventura and would, without hesitation, recommend this hotel. Just as a side note, there are some negative reviews of this hotel, commenting on the tired and outdated appearance of the reception area and other parts of the hotel - I think there may be some confusion as there are three Iberostar hotels within a very short distance of one another. I can only assume that the negative comments should refer to one of the other hotels as this hotel is neither tired nor outdated!
