Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas All Inclusive

Old hotel, that should be shown as 4* but 3*, all inclusive has an empty mini bar, no welcome drink, no bathrobe, nothing. Lack of AC in the room. No iron. The pool towels we received were dirty and destroyed, and they didn't want to change them. Food was not the best, Atlantis restaurant wasn't a good one, but Tapas bar was exceptional. Overall, it is 3*, and all inclusive isn't worth this price. You want all Inclusive? Better change hotel. We're truly disappointed as being many times in IHG and Iberostar in other cities/islands. Only this was a huge disappointment.

Fabulous 2 week holiday. Off to a great start with cava on arrival, swift and efficient check in and taken to our room by the porter. We had a great sea view on the 8th floor. Room was spotless with huge beds, TV with the main English channels, great wi fi, bathroom with toiletries, bath was a little tired looking but shower was great. Maids cleaned daily and brought us a tray for our travel kettle, coffee and cups. Water dispenser nearby for fresh drinking water. The food was fabulous with great choices, themed nights,loved the fresh grilled fish and meat, Canarian potatoes, salads and delicious desserts. Wine was good and the lady who came round serving sparkling wine each night was a lovely touch.The animation team were fantastic, big shout out to Danny, Julio, Mateus and Samuel and all the girls. Loved the aqua fit sessions, club dance, Sangria workshop and bingo(Shakey,shakey, mixy,mixy) Lots of other entertainment and activities on offer as well. Enjoyed the shows, cocktails in the bar with complimentary crisps/ nuts and casino night.The pool and the hotel surroundings were well maintained and cleaned daily. All the staff were friendly and professional. Overall we had a fabulous time.

We booked star prestige for our first visit to this hotel, having experienced star prestige previously in Lanzarote. No big deal but check in was at the main reception not at the star prestige check in desk. our room was big, lovely sea facing balcony but was incredibly tired looking, in need of some updating and TLC. The star prestige pool area and bar was excellent, plenty of sun beds, great snacks available and fabulous choice of drinks. The food in the main restaurant offered plenty of choice and general quality was good but the meat selection was very repetitive, pork, pork and more pork! The food being grilled was always hot but at times other dishes on the hot buffet were luke warm. Snack bar by main pools, great choice for lunch. Good for a relaxing week away from work, but I don’t think we would return, Iberostar Playa Blanca offers far superior rooms and quality dining.
