Kothi Kais is an absolute treasure, nestled high above the hills, full of character and charm. It is a small property, beautifully managed by efficient and welcoming staff and stays true to the traditions of Kullu. Our rooms were so pretty! Spacious, comfortable and provided will every facility one could need, including heaters on request. But what blew us away were the gardens and lawns. Ms. Shalini has poured her soul into this haven, as can be seen from the beautiful, thriving plants and flowers of every colour to the orchards spread high over the hills. She fascinated us with facts about flora and fauna and accompanied us to some remote and truly divine sights that the average traveller would not even know existed. I have never before met anyone so deeply invested into making sure her guests are well looked after. The food was excellent and homely. They encouraged local dishes and we enjoyed them. Previous reviews have mentioned cockroaches. I must write that, despite our rooms being on the ground floor, we didnt see any. There were beetles that found their way in but these are harmless and to be expected from any place that embraces nature like Kothi Kais does. That said, every door and window has insect proof netting and the staff is very oblidging about removing insects, when asked. This was not just a hotel, this was a home and, in fact, turned out to be the highlight of our holiday! We look forward to someday visiting again.

It was horrible experience.filthy rooms.dirty bedsheets and pillows. Utensils were so dirty.glasses and jugs in the water so dirty. Bathrooms were filled with cockroaches. Horrendous experience Never recommended at all. food was good.

We stayed at Himalayan Kothi Kais for 3 Nights in last week of January 2025.its was a motorcycle adventure trip and we were 6 riders. Location - The place is a nestled away in the Kullu valley, about 13 Kms from kullu, towards manali. Property - the property is on the Himachali Kathkuni theme and provides a beautiful view of the valley. Parking - Getting the right parking in mountain areas is a problem, but not here. We had ample dedicated space to park our big bikes . Also the space is good enough to park a good number of big cars. Rooms - The rooms are spacious and warm with amazing walking balcony that adds to their charm. Bathrooms are also very spacious with good supply of hot water. Garden & Dining Areas - As we were a group of 6 rider friends we spent a lot of time in the amazing garden area which again was meticulously maintained with horticulture and apple orchards. Food - Another highlight for us was the delicious food in offer , be it breakfast with fresh cut fruits, comforting hot apple juice or the sumptuous Chicken and mutton delicacies. Service - Staff was very courteous and service prompt and personalised to our requirements. The owner , Shalini, not only ensured we had a top quality experience but herself took out time to be around to ensure we got what we wanted during our stay . I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful stay away from the crowds thronging Manali.

It is a superb place in Kullu. Get up early in morning and see snow covered Himalayan from you window. Enjoy the breakfast in open garden watching Himalayans and enjoying nature. Rooms are crafted of stones and wood. You can enjoy the life of Himalayans people. A must visit hotel in the Himachal Pradesh Trip.

We had a memorable 2 days at The Himalayan Kothi. Truly pet friendly, stunning location, beautiful kothi, good service, friendly staff & good food. We thoroughly enjoyed some unique Himachali experiences like staying in Kath-kuni home, learning to make Siddu & foraging. The rooms are spacious, equipped with all amenities, spotless bathroom & most importantly it gives a feeling of living in a Himachali Kothi and not a run of the mill hotel. The food was freshly made to order so it did take some time. We also tried the local Himachali dish called Siddu and it was delicious just like the fresh apple juice from their won orchard. It's a pet friendly place and our furbaby had a great time running around in the lawn. You can order pet food as per your requirement. I also went foraging with their staff which was a unique Himachali experience. We went to thier own orchard to get some Saag and enjoyed our Farm to table lunch of Sarson ka saag with Makkai ki roti. The staff is very friendly and prompt. The owner is very welcoming and we had some insightful conversations regarding Himachali culture and local places. I would highly recommend The Himalayan Kothi to anybody which is seeking a tranquil Himachali experience.
