The Kafila Desert Camp

This was our first experience to stay in a desert camp ant it was mind blowing. The check-in was very quick and then we were taken to our tent. It was 5 star. It had a big double comfortable bed with air condition and heater facility. The bathroom was also very spacious which normally you never get in any hotel. The veranda was an added attraction to chill over tea in the morning. In the evening we were taken to some sort of private Sam dunes for high tea where we were served sandwich, cookies and tea/coffee. The table and chairs were set up for all the guests. It was great fun to enjoy peace and tranquility of Thar desert. The camel ride was also available beside rough dune ride in 4x4 jeeps at extra cost. The sunset view was marvelous from this point. In the evening there was cultural entertainment program by local people in Rajasthani style in the middle of camp which was very enjoyable. The décor in the dining room was very rustic bur elegantly done. The food during all meals time very simple and delicious. As far as service was concerned, it was awesome. The staff was giving their best to keep the guests happy. Worth visiting...

Ten friends from a two families, stayed at Camp Kafila and we had such a wonderful experience during the stay. Mool Singh, Madhav Singh, Dev and other staff took great care of us. They were respectful, friendly, helpful and took care an every needs. From the Jeep ride (Thanks Dave!) to the camel ride to dune, seating and tea at the dune was excellent. Traditional music and dance was exceptional. They served dinner and breakfast which was delicious ( best breakfast that we had during our weeklong Rajasthan tour which was made to order!). Tents were pretty and comfortable. Thanks to all of you for your hospitality including a parting gift to our kids!!

It was a very bad experience, the food was not good and the staff was also not educated, the website had one thing and the reality was different. The manager there was also very stubborn, there was no cleanliness in the camp, coming here was a very wrong decision for me and I will not tell anyone to go there. They have a group in the desert which demands money from you without any reason, these people are theirs only.
