The Raj Palace (Small Luxury Hotels of the World)

Old palace with many courtyards and terraces and gardens. All historical buildings, very nice. You feel like in the old times. Rooms are large and also in a nice classic style. WIFI is very slow and often not working. Some staff members are very friendly, others less. Breakfast was ok. Very good was the Dosa. Recommended if you like old historical places.

We stayed in Raj Palace. Stunning heritage property, very good location, but very pricey for what the rooms offer. We looked at 3 different rooms to find one which was OK. At first glance, it looked ok, but because of the marble floor the room was very cold, and very dark due to the small window... The room door was mostly glass, which wasn't helpful for a good night sleep. The service was great - the staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all, it didn't meet our expectations for the price we paid. I spent most of my free time outside the room which made the change- met lots of interesting people. Special gratitude to the restaurant manager Narendra, who facilitated my husband's work needs for internet.

We stayed for 3 nights in January and found this to be an excellent option. They kindly upgraded us to a large heritage suite which was luxurious and very comfortable. We had wanted to be in walking proximity to the old city, and although the area right around the property is not quite our cup of tea, once you are on the grounds you feel like you are a world apart. The hotel welcome was lovely, the breakfast buffet was outstanding, and the dinners were very good. The staff was very attentive, because they share the tips that you leave in a box at reception upon departing. The pool was too cold for us to use in January, but we enjoyed walking around the grounds. I did a lot of research on tripadvisor before selecting this hotel, and I was very happy with the value received. The architecture of the rooms and the buildings is intricate and unique, and let us feel like we were living back in the 1930's. I loved the old marble bathroom! Some of the other hotels that we stayed at in India were Oberoi and Taj properties, and this is not quite the same as those, but then we paid about 1/3 the cost of those for this stay. Also, this is a bit more intimate than some of those larger hotels.

The culinary experience was outstanding—the breakfast buffet was a highlight, featuring an incredible variety of dishes, each more delicious than the last. The staff treated us like family, always attentive and friendly. Staying here was like living in a royal palace, and it’s an experience we’ll never forget. Highly recommend The Raj Palace to anyone visiting Jaipur—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I had an awesome experience in staying Raj Palace. The environment here is serene that gives you ecstasy of silence. Very accessible and staff is really good. They have very good hospitality sense and ethics and don't believe everything that is written on the internet
