I recently had the pleasure of staying at the North Gate Hotel in Jaffna, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The customer service was truly amazing, setting a high standard for hospitality. My mom requires wheelchair assistance, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and ease throughout our stay and especially as she entered and exited the building. Their kindness and attentiveness made a significant difference in our stay. The hotel's location is unbeatable, situated right in the heart of Jaffna. This central location made it incredibly convenient for us to explore the many attractions and landmarks the city has to offer. Whether we were heading out for a day of sightseeing or just a quick trip to the market, everything was within easy reach. The dining options at North Gate Hotel are superb. The in-house restaurant serves delicious food, and there's another fantastic restaurant/bar called Machang just behind the hotel. This gave us two excellent choices for meals, even late at night, ensuring we never had to worry about finding a place to eat. Cleanliness is clearly a priority at North Gate Hotel. The entire premises were spotless, making our stay comfortable and pleasant. Special thanks to Vinothkumar from housekeeping, who ensured our room was impeccably maintained with great care and attention to detail. The front desk staff deserves a special mention for their excellent service. Jeeva, Sathees, Kowshik, Thusha, Praveen, Prasanna, and the Front Office Manager Gopinath were all incredibly helpful and professional. Their warm welcome and readiness to assist with any request truly enhanced our experience. Overall, North Gate Hotel in Jaffna provided us with a memorable stay, combining excellent service, great food, a prime location, and immaculate cleanliness. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jaffna—you won’t be disappointed!
