Surf Synergy All-Inclusive Surf Retreat

The thought of going to a surf and wellness Holiday was not on the very top of my family’s wish list, and after 7 days, there is conversation of how to make this an annual trip! This is all due to the program that has been put into place at Surf Synergy. Every aspect of the week is crafted for a perfect mix of activity, relaxation, and learning. What I was SO happy with how this week provided our family the opportunity to be very close. Watching them smile in the water was absolutely the best part!!! Thank you to the entire staff!!

I went to Surf Synergy for a birthday party with friends and ended up staying for an extra three weeks! My experience here was truly life changing… I felt like a teenager at camp! As a 56 year old woman, I really wasn’t all that excited about surfing as I have had a few “lessons” in the past and decided long ago that it wan’t going to be a sport for me. That quickly changed with the amazing one on one surf coaching (thanks Javier, Veronica and Natalie), the video analysis, great board selection and now I am completely hooked and am already booking a return trip! This isn’t just a surf camp…it’s a week long journey of experiences in health, wellness, amazing food and interacting with great people sharing the Pura Vida lifestyle. Sadly, I can’t bring home surfing, but will bring home the healthy eating, yoga, mindfulness, sauna and cold plunge practices. The community aspect of your week here is what every vacation should be like. Sharing meals, surfing together, doing classes together make for lot’s of memories and a ton of laughing! I can’t remember when I have laughed so much and just thoroughly felt pure enjoyment out of life. Looking forward to my next trip!

Community- I was surrounded by positive, like-minded people and staff who were: 1. encouraging – cheering for me at every wave, every experience etc,. 2. inspiring- seeing an 82 year old surfing on my trip was awesome. 3. Supportive- everyone eager to help me achieving my goals and providing me with the feedback, support and space I needed to do so. Indulging- the most amazing meals, the best atmosphere and décor, mind blowing massages! I would like to highlight a few members of your staff for going above and beyond: Camera crew- The video feedback was so key to my improvement and the photos of the day allowed me to put my phone away and be present in the moment- knowing that key moments were being captured for me. They also made me look like a pro on the waves which was an added bonus! Vicki- her bodywork, massage, adjustments- were exactly what I needed and the perfect complement to the surfing and yoga. She was nurturing, kind, open and so dedicated to her craft. Cata for Yoga- knew exactly what we needed to stay healthy and grounded for our surf sessions. The shoulder openers were just WOW. Staff- Patient, kind, accommodating and always had a smile on their face. They were the glue that held our group together. David and Miguel -surfing video feedback- Their attention to detail and passion to help people reach their potential was unparalleled. To be laser focused on our form, provide feedback and guidance and do that day in and day out is no easy task and yet, they made you feel like they were so committed to your success. AMAZING. Marcel- his passion for cold plunge and breathwork helped me use those skills when on the surf board and translate that to other parts of my life. Being connected to my breath and focus! Wow. Diego and the rest of the chefs- Amazing balanced nutritious and delicious meals! 5 stars!

Everything - from the travel arrangements to the accommodations to the surf lessons and excursions - was excellent!! The staff is amazing! Very friendly and professional. The food is top notch. The rooms are cleaned daily and the property is absolutely beautiful. The surf lessons are incredibly fun and well planned. All of the instructors are knowledgeable and professional. One of THE best vacations I have been on!!!

This place is an absolute gem. We were looking for a balance of luxury, relaxation and surf and this checked all the boxes! The instructors are incredible and suited both me a beginner and my husband and advanced surfer. The days are well balanced and the staff is super attentive if you want additional tours or massages. The food is absolutely incredible. And they use all natural ingredients so you feel great and never heavy. I’m the ultimate (constructive) critic and this place is impeccable!

Completely exceeded expectations! Phenomenal modern house, great 1 week program, amazing food and even better people! Jaco is also a great wave for beginners/intermediates. Great schedule that includes daily yoga (ps best yoga teacher) and interesting classes on breathing and ice baths.
