absolutely beautiful rooms with ocean view and wonderful world class service from the staff. the food at the hotel is also truly divine. we had a lot of fun doing some of the experiences (river cruise, surf lessons). a real paradise! not to be missed!

We felt very welcomed! Staff were amazing , caring for all details. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Beautiful place with a good view of the beach even though there is no direct access to it. Hotel is located close to few beaches and close to the commercial center which is good - you can find several restaurants outside as well

I don’t know where to begin on this place. Perfection is the only way to describe it. The hotel is located in the lushest nature you can imagine, but within walking distance of the tropical paradise town of Itacaré, which is cute, fun and safe. The beach next to the hotel (which is public) is picture perfect. The hotel and grounds are pristine. We stayed at villa 21, and had a team of 6 housekeepers and cooks in rotating shifts from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm, who were incredibly sweet and catered to our every needs. We had the most incredible meals cooked for us - it takes some work choosing all the options in advance, but once there everything is taken care of and the feeling is one of absolute serenity, peace and relaxation. I have never experienced anything like it. Try as I might, I can’t find any fault with this place. In absolute figures, it’s expensive. But looking at what you get for the money, it’s a deal. I’m so grateful for the experience, and will be back. Thank you to the whole team at the Barracuda.

My husband and I just stayed four nights in the corner suite. The room was spacious with a great view. I think a hotel of this level should provide guests with complimentary water. It was strange, at times you are brought bottle water and charged and sometimes you are served in a large glass carafe, unclear if that is just tap. Food: the food overall was very tasty. I do think with offering the same lunch/dinner combined menu, that they do not more options or more specials. Service from the bartenders was fantastic. Service from the waitstaff was inconsistent, waiting for an appetizer for 45 minutes or sitting at the table for 25 minutes without any service. The white fish across the options is always the same local fish, it is tasty, but gets repetitive. Breakfast is tasty but the same every day, this was getting old by the fourth morning, more options needed especially given it’s the one piece they are “including” with your stay. Location and the main con associated with our stay: Emails with Paulo prior to our trip involved discussing logistics. He encouraged us to fly into IOS and said it was a 20 minute car ride. We based a lot of our plans on this including flight times and meal timing. Once we were in the car we then realized we were over an hour from the property. You would think a hotel at this level would be very apologetic of this error. When we arrived starving the host suggested he was making it right, welcomed us to the restaurant. A hotel at this level would provide either drinks on the house at the very least or have lunch waiting considering I emailed from the car. I also asked to discuss with the manager who has been unresponsive. I find this to be poor service and low class. Town is walkable and very quaint. Boat trip to the islands: I would recommend this trip. I have done similar excursions at other places that felt more touristy, this did not. My only feedback would be that the Paulo should provide a checklist the day prior where a guest can indicate what they would like on the boat such as selecting a snack, beverage etc. they just automatically provide soda, water, beer and a small bag of cashews. Massage: fantastic Overall, pleasant and great stay. I would recommend the manager rethinks how to treat guests when communication from his staff is incorrect, or himself. It was unclear if Paulo was also the a manger or just handled the excursion.

I started my travels this year in Brazil here in Itacaré. I stayed at two other places that were substandard. This was an expensive option but well worth it. I personally stay a five star properties in Europe and the United States. This was a three star stay which is high for Brazil. I throughly enjoyed this property. I believe they are owned by the 70’s supergroup ABBA. Excellent location, food, and service. I spoke to the employees and all I received was positive feedback. I look for that in hotels. Happy employees, happy customers. If you can afford it, highly recommend. I’m use to paying $2000.00 US dollars for my room but I’ll try anything. Traveled on a budget last time I was here. This time I spent some money. Don’t miss this place! Attention to detail. Magnificent!

Thank you Tribe Barracuda for the most special experience of my life 🙏🏼😊 My boyfriend and I stayed at the Barracuda Hotel for 7 nights. The hotel is stunning, every detail is so thoughtfully selected. You feel in an oasis perfect to relax and enjoy the pool overlooking the ocean. What made our stay even more special were the people we met during our time. When you stay at the barracuda connect with Paulo and he will create amazing experiences for you. He organized the most amazing trips and activities in order for us to explore the nature and beauty of Itacaré. We took a boat ride up the Rio das Contas, through the mangroves on the SUP and to the waterfall finished off with fresh fish, heart of palm and banana da terra - absolutely incredible. Besides Paulo getting us out of the hotel, the Barracuda Tribe is special - super kind, genuine people who we became friends with in this short period of time. We shared a lot of conversations and laughters and they always knew what we needed even before we did. Special thanks to Adson, Breno, Rogério, Cadu, Luri, Paula, Igor, Marconi, Murilo, Tatiane and Paulo. 🙏🏼 we will see you 100% next year. Can’t wait to be back! Muito obrigada a tudos! 🤩
