Porta Romanos Hotel

I didn’t like the hotel ,, poor room , they gave me a room it look like it’s located in a basement,, a very small room, the bathroom is clean but the toilet didn’t work good , the sink; washbasin was almost close, and many other things I didn’t like. I will not make a reservation again on this hotel.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Haben mit Familie ein Wochenende dort verbracht und würden gerne dieses Hotel wieder buchen. Sehr empfehlenswert. All unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt, wir waren glücklich und zufrieden.

I went to Porte Romanos back in 2022 and it was a great hotel, great breakfast, great staff, and honestly great everything. The staff was really friendly and the prices are great. The room was clean and I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel back in 2022.

We were here for a night, and found the overall experience pleasant. The staff members are warm and helpful, the room is spacious, and the breakfast is nice. The location is convenient as well, just a few steps away from the tram station.

We got to the hotel at 12:00 AM. I got a room with a bed that was completely torn in the middle. The fan in the bathroom fell from the ceiling and there were insects in the bathroom. They had no other available rooms and meant that my pregnant wife and I would have to sleep there that night in order to possibly get a new room the next day. We managed to be checked in for 1 hour in total. I had to pay 180€ to stay somewhere else just for that night. The day spoke to the hotel manager (Ramazan) regarding the incident. First he said that there won’t be any refund to me paying around 500€ for the room. After a long discussion the hotel manager said he will refund all the amount. He even gave me a receipt that he stamped and shows he will refund me the whole amount. After 2-3 weeks and many complains through ***********. They refunded 450€ which means they stole 50€. It wasn't my fault the bed was broken, that there were insects, that the fan had fallen down. It was also not my fault that there were no other rooms available at the hotel and that my wife and I had to call around at night to find new accommodation for the night. I am very surprised about the incident at Porta Romanos Hotel because they have good ratings on *********** and Google. I mean maybe they are good. But in such events such a big hotel stealing 50€ from a customer for what? Shame on you Ramazan.
