Old City Park Hotel

Room booked with 2 month in advance. no mention in the description the the room was in the BASEMENT. Mold on the walls. dirty mattress and sheets Left the hotel and had to look for a better accomodation. This hotel refuses to refund the payment. Absolutely not recommended for European travelers.

Please don't visit this Hotel.This was the worst Hotel that I have visit in my live.The room was not clean the Toalet was so little that you can't make one move.I was three nights there nobody have take the Garbagge or someone to bring the toalet paper.To clean the room someone that was Fantasy .If you open the window to get a fresh air you can feel the bad smell of smoke from the kitchen of neighbours restaurant then was better not to open three days.The " Reception if that a Reception ist was so dirty and always with bad smell from the neigboors kitchen.Horor Never again

New hotel with spacious rooms and awesome staff. We enjoyed our stay a lot and definitely recommend this place. Just note that the area shuts down by 10 and few to no places remain open afterwards at all. All great aside from that.

I had a fantastic view of the Blue Mosque and Bosporus from my window. The value of the overall situation makes me glad that I overlooked prior negative reviews of the property. You have to go with the flow especially if the price is right. So I was not bothered by the broken toilet handle when I could walk to all the Old City sights in less tha 10 minutes.

Before I start, I'd like to say that there are some good points to this hotel. For example, it is pretty cheap (compared to most), it is well-located (five minutes from Blue Mosque), and the staff are friendly and helpful. But.... As far as the room went, this was probably one of the worst hotels we've stayed in. We were in the dreaded basement room, so there was no window, and the walls were damp and peeling. We had booked twin beds, and we had them, but there was only one double sheet, so we couldn't move the beds apart. There were two single quilts, but only one of them had a cover on it. The bathroom was tiny, and I mean tiny - when you sat on the toilet, your elbow was in the sink. The shower hose bracket was broken (so you had to hold it all the time), the cracked shower head sprayed water in every direction, and the shower door frame was so low I kept banging my head on it (and I'm not that tall). There was no top to the toilet cistern, and no flush handle either, so you had to reach into the cistern and trigger it that way. There was no soap and no toilet paper - we had to go out and buy some. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom, and it should have a 'dead mans switch' that shuts it off when you let go, but worryingly, it didn't. Not safe for a room that got soaked every time you showered. The bedroom door didn't seem to fit the frame, which itself was not fixed properly to the wall. There was no safe, and no breakfast either. The area around the hotel is slightly rough, but okay for two blokes. There are some cheap restaurants around, but the streets are steep and busy with traffic. Not recommended for grandma. But...we were only really there to sleep, and we slept okay, and it gave us loads of laughs. So if you're into cheap and cheerful, you might like this place, but if you like nice hotels, give it a miss.

Avoid avoid place at all costs! Worst hotel experience in my entire life. I have attached photos including experience of others facing same issue. No breakfast and no details or updates given on booking that its not available due to covid- misleading images  Fake images of the outside sea view. Fake sea image shown. Images are very different to actual hotel. No seaview as promised in my booking. Clear lie. I clearly booked a standard room with seaview but I got a street view. Shower not working from day 1 and asked over 10 times and they only just fixed it few hours before I'm about to check out and when its not needed. All the inconvenience caused already and no shower sheild. Fan in toilet doesn't work either. No kettle available anywhere in the property neither would they lend me one. Very inconvenient and very upsetting.  The electric socket was damaged and my electric plug would not fit in and keep falling out. I had to resort by using one other side of the room There wasn't proper duvet covers. It was a tiny thin sheet. Not something I was able to sleep well in and was struggling  No shower gel or handwash in the toilet even though dispensers are there and installed. The receptionist is very rude to whenever I request anything kindly. And always speaks in a grumpy manner No wardrobe or closet even though mentioned. Same with no slippers.  Mentions for food and drink there is bottle of water/chocolate cookies/fruit but again that's a lie. Lesson learnt 'never ever pay upfront to these people' I hope they get closed down. Pure scammers!

Great location and staff very nice

Stayed at the hotel fr 5 nights, the location was excellent , service was good , staff was always willing to help and very friendly, shout out to Ismail at Riza at front desk ... excellent personality and very friendly. Location was central and close to a tram line , easy access to transport systems .. highly recommend this hotel Continental breakfast as a bonus
