Maywood Hotel

I don't know where this hotel got so many good reviews from. I believed them too. The only plus is the location. The hotel is in the center and close to all the transport hubs. That's where the positive ended. The administrator greeted us kindly at first. We were taken to a room without a window, although we booked a standard one. When we expressed our dissatisfaction and offered to change the room, he became rude and unprofessional. As a result, we stayed in a room on another floor, but then it became clear that the bathroom was dirty and we asked for it to be cleaned. There were toothbrush packages of other guests in the shower stall. The towels were also not clean. There were no slippers in the room and we had to ask for them. There is no drinking water in the room. There is a kettle and cups, but you also have to ask for a tea bag. ) The safe did not work. My friend expressed dissatisfaction and the hotel staff fixed some of the deficiencies. In the morning, we realized that right under our window there was a technical exhaust hood from the kitchen of a neighboring hotel, which was releasing clouds of stinking smoke. But we had to endure all this and live with the window closed. True, when checking out, that same unpleasant administrator asked our names and gave a personal present to my friend, who was indignant. It was quite strange when out of four guests only one is given a compliment. ))) I always stay in the Sirkeci area, but this was the first time I came across such an unsuccessful hotel. I do not recommend it!

The Maywood hotel was the perfect choice for a vacation in Istanbul. It was so central you could walk everywhere. The hotel itself was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Always a hello how are you, did you have a great day. Room was very comfortable. Beds so comfortable. Breakfast plentiful and lots of variety. Would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers. Lots of restaurants close by to choose from A great stay. Thank you Maywood i will return. Nadia Brown

The hotel is located in the very center of the old city, very convenient to walk to all the central attractions, we never used public transport to move around the city. Excellent work of the hotel staff, they were very attentive to us and kind. They told us the necessary information about the accommodation and the city, offered their help and services. It was nice and unexpected to receive a small gift from the hotel. We had a spacious triple room with everything you need for living. Comfortable beds, variable lighting in the room, there were 2 small balconies overlooking the street. Good varied breakfast, a choice of different dishes and drinks, we did not go hungry. We enjoyed staying at this hotel and we can recommend it to others.
