Hillstone Lodge is a wonderful bed and breakfast, perfect for couples to enjoy a romantic vacation on Scotland's most idyllic isle! The proprietors, Bertie and Jana, bring their extensive hotel experience to make a comfortable and hospitable stay. The highlight of every day for us was breakfast service. Bertie and Jana took extra care to ensure our meal was as delicious and relaxed as possible, complete with fine tableware and locally sourced ingredients. The rooms are equally enjoyable, with high ceilings and a beautiful view of the loch! I highly recommend Hillstone Lodge to any couple visiting Skye!

Hillstone Lodge is really a place worth staying. The views are amazing. The accommodation was very clean, organized and brand new. Breakfast was great! Hosts are very helpful and friendly, also kindly provided us with many tips on Skye tours.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hillstone Lodge on the Isle of Skye! From the moment we arrived, Bertie and Jana gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel completely at home. Their personalized recommendations for exploring the area were incredibly helpful and made our trip extra special. Jana’s baking is simply amazing – every treat was a delight, and breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, a perfect start to the day. Our room and the bathroom were exceptionally comfortable, with breathtaking views that made it hard to leave! We also loved spotting the local animals nearby. Wow! What a wonderful place to stay! We spent 3 nights at the Hillstone Lodge and it was one of the best lodging experiences we have ever had. The location is wonderful. The views from our bedroom and from the lounge and breakfast rooms are strikingly beautiful. Travel to restaurants, tourist locations, and hikes is as convenient as it can be on Skye. The hosts, Bertie and Yana, are very friendly, kind, and considerate. Bertie is a wonderful source of information on all things Skye. Yana’s breakfasts were delicious and quite generous. The lodge is beautiful, nicely laid out with exquisite interior decoration. Our bedroom and the bathroom were luxurious and very, very clean. All in all, staying at the Hillstone Lodge was one of the high points of our trip to Scotland.

Hillstone Lodge completely blew us away. Whenever I come back to Scotland, I'm 100% planning the trip entirely around staying here again. Bertie and Jana are just incredible hosts. They're SO genuinely nice and thoughtful - every morning we'd wake up to find they'd printed out a personalized itinerary based on interests/existing plans we'd mentioned the day before, taking into account weather and what we'd already seen. The breakfast was incredible - looking out over the loch while eating an assortment of delicious homemade foods (and maybe watching some sheep wander by!) was such a lovely start to each day. And of course the location is absolutely gorgeous (in any weather). It's very possible that this is the most beautiful place on Earth. The room was wonderful too - modern and comfortable and spacious, with those same amazing views. I can't say enough positive things about Hillstone Lodge - it's probably my favorite place I've ever stayed, and I can't wait to go back.
