We have been coming to Oban for many years and always stay at the Alltavona we love it here rooms are fantastic with great sea views .Lovely continental breakfast .We have always been made to feel very welcome when we stay can’t wait to come back

The owner was on hand to make us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The parking was immediately outside the property. The room was spotless with fabulous Loch and sea views. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots to choose. Would highly recommend this hotel if your ever visiting Oban.

Outstanding! The property is well located with beautiful views accross the bay and just 10 min walk to the centre of town. The hosts were super friendly and accomodating. The continental breakfast selection beats anything we have ever had in the UK ! It was awesome , cheeses, meats, breads, chutneys, pates, fruit, cereal...the list is endless. Our room was immaculate and furnished/decorated to a very high standard and included a good sized fridge, water and a welcome tray with teas, coffees and biscuits. We will be back.

This guest house is so beautifully decorated, the rooms are well appointed and had everything we needed. Also at night you could not hear anyone moving about. Alltanova is right along the main road so it means it’s a quick step outside for sunset views, crisp morning walks, or walking to town for dinner. The breakfast is in a beautiful room and is one of the nicest spreads I have seen at a hotel. The service matches this level of quality as well Overall just really loved it hear and will stay here again if I ever get the chance to return to Oban.

Stayed here one night with a group bus tour and it was fantastic. Our room hade the perfect view over the water and the interior was super cosy. Made us feel at home with a touch of luxury straight away. Breakfast was really nice with fresh berries and the best croissants I've tasted!

Altavona Guest House is the Hospitality away from home you need. Warm Welcome from Joyce & Carol. Room very comfortable with all the amenities you could need for a few days. Break in the morning was a very good spread fresh meats, cheeses, fruit cereals and don't forget the freshly baked croissants. Can't wait to come back to stay again. See you soon Joyce & Carol.

Very comfortable and friendly guest house with stunning views overlooking Oban harbour. Communication with the owners was excellent, with clear instructions for check-in and the exact location of our room. The twin room we had on the top floor was lovely and clean, with comfortable beds and a lovely big bathroom, with a freestanding bath and shower head attached. Breakfast was excellent and only £10 per person (order the day before) There was a great selection of cheeses, and cold meets as well as cereals, pastries, yogurts and fruits. A lovely B&B in a great position only 10 minutes walk along the promenade to Oban town centre and about 15 minutes to the railway station and ferry terminal.

Mum and I stayed here as part of a tour for a night and found it to be very comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The beds were comfy, there was tea, coffee and hot chocolate available in the room and the breakfast was delicious! The owner made all the coffee and tea for everyone, which was really nice. There was a small mini fridge in the room but it wasn't that cold (we were only there for a night so didn't bother us that much). There is also quite a bit of stairs to go up, depending on which room you are placed in, but that is like so much of Europe - stairs everywhere! Overall, it was a lovely stay and the owner was very welcoming and friendly!

This was a beautiful place to stay and the hostess was delightful. It was not the most comfortable bed I've stayed in and the sheet kept moving, but it did the trick. The location right on the bay was stunning. I ate breakfast in the dining room once and it offered just about everything you could want. My hostess packed a day's food for our very early departure on a day tour and it was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend Alltavona!
