Lotus Beach Hotel - Adults Only

My husband and I came here to celebrate 10 yeas together. Before we even arrived Alexander was reaching out to assist with transportation to the island, checking to see if it was a special event, and how can they make our stay more pleasurable. Since we were already on the island from a different event, we drove the golf cart over where we were met by Alexander and Karen. Our golf cart was taken care of while we got checked in. We got a complimentary drink and then shown to our room, where we found it decorated for our anniversary. ♥️♥️♥️. Our room was ready early so that there was no wait. Moving along we were given a quick tour of the attached property, Guru Beach Club, once we came down. Alexander was quick to state: you are here to be pampered. ♥️ Over the course of our 5.5 day stay we met Fernando, Camilla, Juan, Mau, Aryan, Clara, Christian, and a few more but forgot their names. :-(. We met other guests that call Isla Mujeres and the Lotus/Guru their second home. Not only was the staff EXTREMELY attentive and friendly, no one who was returning had anything negative to say about any of their trips. This place is so amazing I will be returning in January for a few days. Here are the quick pro’s and very minor feedback: PRO’S Small boutique hotel Attentive service Spacious rooms Pool option Beach Option Beginners snorkeling area on site You could eat there each day - all day. Not just basic boring resort food. Great drinks - and willing to make specialty cocktails not on menu Massage place next door. Owned by same owners just different staff, also wonderful Access to beach areas to other resorts for additional food and fun options Beach area to watch sunrise and sunsets. Safe to go for walks at night. Guru beach club closes early. I took this as a blessing as otherwise we would have heard music and people in our room. Close walk to clubs nearby. Stingray’s ended up being our favorite after walking the local shopping area. Close walk to some amazing restaurants. CON’s/VERY Minor Feedback One night only we ran out of hot water in shower area. But our jacuzzi tub had plenty. Never had an issue after that. Need a little better lighting at sink area for putting on makeup. LOL! The sink layout, no matter how slight you turn on the water, splashes your clothes. Just chose to get dressed after I was done at the sink. Music from nearby resorts could be heard until about 11pm on Friday and Saturday only.

I have never had better service in my life and I felt like I left with 4 new friends! Alexander, the manager, Ulysses, Donna, and Juan were so friendly! They made our vacation so enjoyable! The food and drinks were delicious! The complementary breakfast look like a work of art! The view from our private pool was priceless! We could snorkel right out in front of the property and town was just a quick walk away. It was absolutely perfect in my eyes and I cannot wait to come back! Miss you all! ＜3 Angela

This was our 3rd time to this beautiful island destination so yeah we kinda like it! Amazing service in a wonderful private beachclub with full canopy beds on-site. Fabulous food. Rooms spacious and clean. The team really can't do enough for u. Highly recommend.

What truly sets Lotus Hotel and Guru Beach Club apart, however, is the staff. Their exceptional service made our stay so memorable that we were genuinely sad to leave. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed like family. Alex, Juan, Camila, Cami, Leo, and Mauro at Guru Beach Club truly went above and beyond. Whether they were delivering drinks on the beach, pool, or beds, offering great recommendations, or just sharing a laugh, they made us feel like we were the only guests there. Their warmth and attentiveness created an unforgettable experience, and they were always ready to make sure we had a great time. Martha and Karen at Lotus Hotel were equally incredible. Their professionalism, combined with a personal touch, made us feel completely at home. We stayed at “Lotus beach hotel” in January 2025. The hotel is very small and quite old. We stayed in room number 5, where there was a constant smell of dampness and age. Ventilating the room was impossible because the window screens were old and torn, and opening the windows let in mosquitoes. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. However, the room was clean, and for a 3-star hotel, it was acceptable. There are several advantages to staying at this hotel: it’s located right on the seafront, where the sea is always calm, there’s a beautiful beach club, and the greatest asset of this hotel is its staff. At the reception, Marta and Clara were very friendly, as were the gentleman who cleaned our room and Alexander, the manager. Everyone was kind, responsive, and always ready to help. The Guru beach club staff deserve special mention—they’re amazing. All of them, mostly Argentinians, are incredibly good-looking, professional, cheerful, and polite. Their positive attitude and energy really stood out. The hotel owner is fortunate to have such a great team. However, I want to warn future guests against booking a taxi transfer to the airport through the hotel. Marta at the reception suggested a transfer for $90 USD. We didn’t expect any issues, so we agreed. However, when we arrived at the ferry terminal in Cancun, we saw a taxi stand where a ride to the airport cost only $35 USD. Naturally, we opted for the cheaper option. This experience left us with mixed feelings about Marta and Alexander, the manager. As a travel agent, I recommend this place for its beach and atmosphere, but I suggest considering other hotels in the area, such as the one located directly across from «Lotus beach hotel”

My husband and I had the most amazing five days get away at the Lotus Hotel. Everything was just as we wanted it to be, the most beautiful beach front location; friendly stuff , healthy perfect breakfast and great beach club vibe and food . Thank you guys! You are the best and see you again in June.
