I booked the room from the 18th October because my flight arrived early morning of the 19th. When I arrived around 7:30 am on the 19th I was told there were no rooms available because my room was allocated to someone else and the hotel was up to capacity. I then had to wait for someone to check out and didn't get my room until 9:30 am. Tired, frustrated, and unbelievable they offered no apology but instead proceeded to charge me hotel tax which I refused to pay and after talking to the manager it was waived. If that wasnt enough tried to.pass the blame onto me by saying I should have notified them of my flight details as I was arriving the following day. The point is I booked the hotel for a period 18th to 21st October 23. Whatever time I arrive was irrelevant and my room should have been reserved and not given away to someone else. The hotel made money and I lost out because I could not go straight to my room. The customer is not made aware at the time of booking that the hotel has to be notified of flight arrival.
Also when I got to the room there was no soap to wash hands or even a bottle of water. I have used this hotel before and that was my last time and what lets it down is the lack of professional staff. Most are not friendly and appear disgruntled and unhappy. They are the first point of contact at check-in and sadly let down the image of the hotel.
