As soon as we walked through the door we knew we would love it. Beautiful house and immaculate. Diana was very welcoming and the breakfast was very enjoyable James couldn’t do enough. Will definitely return when we visit family. Very happy customers.

Well where do you start, I stay away a lot with work, and thought it will do just another B&B the hotel a work colleague was staying in was full, it was close to the hotel, it will do. How wrong can you be, just small things, go for breakfast and someone at the desk says “good morning Andy you OK” as though I’d known him for years, the rooms or mine was spotless and fine for me, due to my company policy it was booked though a second party that didn’t include breakfast, and when checking out I asked about the breakfast, they said “oh it’s fine don’t worry about it” I had to insist to pay, and what a breakfast it was. Would I stay again, most definitely, I wish I could attach pictures, it’s one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in staying away from home in 30 plus years. Down stairs, a large lounge and other rooms to sit in if you don’t want to sit in your room.

Was looking for one night emergency accomodation while on business. It was late on Saturday night over a bank holiday weekend, so not a hotel to be had!!! Eventually found Braidmead and liked it so much, I cancelled my hotel for the following week and booked in here. Everywhere is spotless, rooms are comfortable and well looked after. Diane can't do enough to make you feel welcome and made me a generous packed lunch every morning as I wasn't staying for breakfast. I'll definitley be back next time I am in the area.

We stayed a Braidmead House for 1 night before catching a ferry to Arran, some friends also stayed. We had a ground floor room which was lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great en suite bathroom with good shower. Room also had some lovely shortbread and plenty of coffee/tea/milk. The host was helpful and welcoming and the property has a large lounge area with honesty bar (we didn't use this but it looked really comfortable), she was also really helpful in providing a safe place for our friends cycles, and in recommending places to eat. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked very good. Would definitely stay here again.

My second visit in recent years. I repeat my previous comments - the hotel is immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. The bedroom is large and truly comfortable. The owner is very kind and charming. However, best of all is the truly wonderful Scottish breakfast. The location is perfect for local bus routes, the shopping centre and the train station. For anyone looking to visit Irvine, I cannot believe that there is anywhere else that compares with Braidmead House. Highly recommended.

The reviews for Braidmead House were so good, it was a no brainier, not to stay here. Close to town centre and a short walk from the shopping centre to the harbour. Very friendly proprietors could not do enough to make my stay comfortable. Rooms including the lounge and dining room were spotless, including my room and en-suite. I would not hesitate to stay there again and hope it won’t be too long until I return to Irvine. Thank you Angela and James

I've just got home after 5 nights here in Braidmead House, I work frequently in Irvine and always stay here because of the service this fantastic family provide. On Wednesday this week my van broke down, and Jaime was kind enough to take the time out of his day and drive me to a local garage and then assisted me with getting my van running. I didn't ask the assistance was offered when he realised I was struggling. The rooms are immaculate and very well maintained, and the breakfasts are still one of the best I've had. Parking is good and the accommodation is central to everything in Irvine, Prestwick airport is a short drive and Glasgow is about 30 mins away. I've been coming here for almost 10 years, and I feel cheated on the visits when I have to stay elsewhere.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel while visiting Irvine for work. It is absolutely beautiful and I was made to feel so welcome and safe by Jamie and Diane. From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. The rooms are stunning with extremely comfortable beds. The towels are the fluffiest I have ever come across in a hotel. There are bottles of water, tea/coffee and biscuits in each room. You can come and go as you please with your own key and it really feels like home. The breakfast was amazing. I had an omelette which was so good however there are endless options of other dishes. Thank you for a lovely stay, I will definitely be back. Ashley
