The Foresters Guest House

My room was clean but cold no way to turn on any heat! bathroom okay! Breakfast was shocking, a roll with bacon and fried egg brought to my room, instant coffee and LL milk which I had to make in my room. The cost was £95 per night, a total rip off and unacceptable, to augment my breakfast I had to buy fruit. Unfortunately I'd booked 3 nights and £ 285 was taken from my card before I arrived otherwise I would not have stayed! There is a Scottish Tourist Board 3 Star plaque by the door, I suspect that was awarded to the previous owners who ran an excellent business with good cooked breakfast. Scottish Hospitality does not exist here! People will never return but the owners obviously do not care! No Dining room or Lounge so I'd have been better staying in a HOSTEL. I'm sure other guests will have had a similar experience. Absolutely Shocking!

We got the last room I think which is the twin and I would not like to stay in that room again. Bathroom layout is slightly wierd and could be arranged better using the same space as at the moment the handbasin is in the bedroom not in the bathroom. Also a bin in the bedroom for T-bags would be good as we had to move the one from the bathroom (which could well have sanitary products in if you are of that age) into the bedroom to avoid dripping on the carpet. Never got the hang of the heating but glad I had taken a hot water bottle. Breakfast choices are ok and brought to your room but I think you can only select cereal OR filled roll OR etc which I suppose is fine for the budget price you are paying.

Not suitable for people with mobility issues as rooms on first floor. But very spacious room, very clean large en suite. 2 minor complaints, first need mirror in bedroom for doing hair ad that is where socket is. And second we found bed not to our liking as we sleep on foam mattress so found springs uncomfortable. Breakfast very nice, surprised breakfast cob was brioche. Breakfast served in your room eaten at table provided.

Stayed here for a night, the room was lovely, bathroom spacious, check in was simple and the fact that breakfast was included was a nice wee bonus. Only issue we had was breakfast time, you order the night before and give the time you want it delivered to your room, ours was running late but we weren't in a hurry to go anywhere so it really didn't bother us too much and the person delivering it was very apologetic, it was worth the wait though.
