Rudha-na-Craige

The stay was excellwnt could not fault any of it. Great hosts. The accommodation was first class. Breakfast was superb, the room comfortable and well decorated. All ammenities to hand and nothing to much bother. We would recommend and stay again.

A beautiful home. This gem of a find was far more than we could have hoped for. From the friendly welcome of hosts, Robert and Jana, to the ‘not missed a detail’ in our beautifully furnished and comfortable room with the most gorgeous view of Loch Fyne. Everything has been thought of to make your stay (short or long) as pleasant as possible. Great hosts, a superb and delicious choice of breakfast with stunning views. We definitely wish to return.

Fantastic welcome from Rob. Very helpful, friendly. A stunning property with a personal touch. Room and bed very comfortable and clean. Great pressure and heat from the shower. What a breakfast. Toast, scrambled eggs with salmon. Beautiful. Stayed one night but would love to come back.

From the moment we arrived on the drive to Ruhda-na-Craige we knew we were in for an amazing few days! Rob was there to greet us which was special. The location on the edge of Loch Fyne is outstanding! It was quite a surreal experience. The property is superb; loaded with history too. We loved all the details; our room was lush with breathtaking views over the Loch. We were in the Strathmore. Nothing was too much for Rob and Jana; they welcomed us with open arms and provided us with very tasty breakfast choices; a wealth of tips for places to visit and more importantly their friendship. Thank you for helping us to create amazing memories. We look forward to coming back again.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our way from Melfort to Glasgow, so that my husband could watch the 6 nations rugby. We stayed in the Cairngorms suite, which was gorgeous. It was spacious , beautifully furnished, with settee and TV ( good for rugby ) and had a great view over the loch. We were made very welcome by Rob and Jana. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were fantastic, porridge, omelettes, full Scottish breakfasts etc. Jana is a very good cook. Inverary is a small place and delightful to potter around. It was all very enjoyable.

When you visit Inverary there are three musts on the agenda. To find the monarch of the glen, to explore the grounds of the Duke of Argylls  Inverary Castle, and to stay at the Rudha-Na-Craige with the Laird of the manor. For Rob is the gatekeeper to the ultimate getaway.  Superb grandeur, elegant functionality, deep warm rooms snug with peace and oppulence, and showers that capture the spectacular falls of Glencoe in summer. From his sincere morning welcomes, handcrafted breakfasts with mouth watering omelettes and a Scottish feast that even a Ramsey would be envious off. This destination will delight the most fastidious tastes and discerning needs. In all our travels across UK and Europe my partner and I had dreamed of exploring Inverary and the highlands. It was to be a special event. To have that romantic escape for 4 days and 3 nights. As you can appreciate the trip had to be perfect so there was cautious tingle when I clicked the booking fee, hoping I had made the right choice. Boy did I! From the moment we parked the car we were greeted with exuberant, highland goodwill and the comfort of home-away-from-home splendor. From a host whose generosity and guidance ensured we discovered the most scenic, the most unique, and less known locations of magic. Robs attention to us, his enthusiasm  to ensure we had the most spectacular day trips was the gold plated gift we just weren’t expecting. His depth of knowledge, his hospitality and his warmth as grand as the manor itself.  For any highland traveller wanting the experience of true hospitality, then Rob and the Rudha-Na-Craige are simply not to be missed. For he is indeed the gatekeeper to the Highlands.
