Wind back down from the day to enjoy dinner from the grill and dining on the deck overlooking the lake. Head down to the beach by the lake for a crackling fire in the pit to wrap up the day. As the sun sets, experience the moon dancing on the lake and the serene feel of the lake lightly crashing along the shore.As soon as you turn down our private lane, you'll transition to the feeling of peacefulness. The cottage is on a dead end street limiting traffic to the locals. There is plenty of parking that can accommodate up to six cars. Easy access to the cottage with a level lot makes unpacking a breeze. Upon entering the cottage, you'll feel the warmth and coziness of the home with lake views and a bright open floor plan.Our home offers 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds and pillow top mattresses, pull out couch with queen memory foam mattress, 2 full bathrooms, and a separate laundry room. A fully stocked kitchen will provide you with everything you need to cook an amazing meal for your family. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard and counter space for easy meal preparation. A full pantry is available for your personal food. Dining area includes room for 6 or serve dinner on the deck while enjoying the amazing lake view. The living room is spacious and has comfortable seating. On a cold winter's night, cozy up in the rocker, turn on the fireplace and watch the snow gently falling over the lake offering an entirely new experience! Head down to the beach and enjoy some fishing off the dock, take a swim to cool off, sit around the fire pit, play a few yard games or just grab a lounger and soak up the sun.Our home offers high speed internet, satellite TV, television in the master bedroom & streaming TV in the living room, fully stocked kitchen, grill, yard games, corn hole, board games, puzzles, a small library of books, DVD's & VHS's, 2 kayaks w/life vests, small variety of swimming floats, fishing poles.We are conveniently located half way on the west side of the lake so a drive in either direction to Geneva or Watkins Glen is convenient. Penn Yan is about 8 miles away and offers shopping, restaurants, grocery store & gas. A perfect lakeside retreat in the heart of the Finger Lakes. It’s uniquely located on the Seneca Lake wine trail halfway between Geneva and Watkins Glen, less than 10 miles from Keuka Lake. Whether you’re visiting the area to get out and enjoy its scenic beauty or relaxing by the tranquil water, this hidden gem affords you access to it all. Begin your escape as you drive along the gravel path that leads to a beautiful log home tucked beneath a canopy of trees with Seneca Lake peeking through. There is ample parking with room for yard games along the west side of the home, and the main entrance lies to the south. The smell of cedar will greet you as you walk into the open floor plan of Secluded Bliss Lodge. The kitchen spans one end of the home, providing ample counter space alongside new appliances for the family chef. Both the dining and living spaces flow directly off the kitchen and offer comfortable seating, views of the surrounding woods, antique adornments and an ornamental wood stove to enhance the lodge’s rustic charm. Double doors off the living area open to a fully furnished, screened in front porch; a tranquil space with a peaceful view to enjoy your morning coffee. For your convenience there is a full bathroom with shower and tub on the main floor, as well as a first floor bedroom complete with a queen bed. Go up the set of stairs off the living room and you’ll find a vaulted loft with additional sleeping space. There is a bedroom at each end of the upper level, one with a queen bed and half bath, the other with a queen bed and futon. Handmade quilts and comfy pillows on all the beds guarantee you will sleep “like a log”. Have fun in the lower level rec room housing air hockey and Ping-Pong tables, puzzles, games and a small tv. From here, open the door to an outdoor space complete with a grill, fire pit and steps that lead to 20’ of lakefront, a dock and boat hoist. The Green Duck is simply an easy house to be in. At the end of a private road, you'll find our charming 1 bedroom lake house- which includes a full kitchen and living room area with a bathroom (standup shower only). We have just added a luxurious cedar wood-fired hot tub for the 2025 rental season -we have tried it and it is divine! The house is equipped with washer and dryer! We like to keep all the screened windows open all summer and let the breeze keep the house cool, but if you need it, theres AC in the bedroom and the sun room that cools the whole place. There is working WIFI, DVD system, TV channels, but save that for a rainy day. You'll be spending most of your time outside on the deck or down on the beach and/or swimming dock. There are 2 kayaks for your use as well as some extra life jackets. Plenty of deck chairs for sitting or laying out in the sun. A great place for bird watching (bald eagles!) and fishing right off the dock! 2 fire raised metal fire pits (one on the beach and one in the yard) for those nighttime bonfires! This property is unique as we get both Sunrise on the lake and sunset over the hills of Fox Run Winery! One last thing - a charming and historic train runs next to the house. The train seems to have no set schedule, but seems to run very infrequently. Sometimes not coming for days on end and other times passing by up to 3 times in one day. We see this as part of the charm of the place- the train goes slow and the conductor will even sound the whistle for you if you wave at the train! All in all - this is the perfect house for a quiet, get-a-way - full of fishing, swimming, laying around, working on your new book, or a just a romantic rural experience! Oh, and if it gets too quiet - Historic Downtown Geneva is a 15 minute drive. There you can find gift shops, a cinema, The Smith Opera House, grocery stores, Linden Street, full of shops and great farm-to-table restaurants and a lakefront park.*** This is a year round rental. We spent last winter here and made some great memories. I must say the place is stunning during all four seasons. We do ask the guests DO NOT use the wood stove (for safety reasons). The house is well insulated. There is electric heat (Thermostat), as well as some very advanced, high-end space heaters for the areas that don't heat up as well.
