This cabin is 17 mins. from the town of Mountain View AR with many attractions including hiking/biking trails, caves, the White River, restaurants, shops and fun local festivals.The space - Turkey Creek CabinNewly renovated - Some exterior pictures are from February - so expect beautiful green grass and trees in the spring. The master bedroom has a king bed and a joining full bath. Second bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has 3 single beds. All brand new memory foam mattresses. The 2nd bathroom next to bedroom #2 has a shower only while the master bath has a tub/shower. The loft is accessed by a spiral staircase - a child safety gate is available but please be aware that children should be supervised when using the stairs. The cabin its self is great, but what makes it a step above the rest is its position right along the creek. Our past guests have loved fishing, catching crawdads, and letting their kids and dogs play in the creek. It's one of the few places around Mountain View with waterfront you can play in beyond just fishing. Staying at Turkey Creek Cabin will make you feel like a kid again. The creek's flow depends on the rain - feel free to message us for it's current status. Past guest have said that even when it's low in late August they have still found deep pools on ether side of the house. We've recently added a propane grill on the porch for guests to enjoy grilling their dinner and a crockpot for savory soups/roasts. The gravel driveway is about .2 miles long - so the hose is somewhat secluded.Please note that we recommend driving a SUV/Crossover/Truck as you will need to drive over a wash that sometimes has some shallow water in it after it rains. If you are driving a car, be extra careful going down the driveway.You will be provided with a towel and wash cloth per person, 2 rolls of TP per bathroom, a kitchen sponge, and a roll of paper towels. It is a cozy, peaceful space, full of natural light from its large windows and skylights.It is furnished with a mix of rustic and Mid-Century influences, with warm and whimsical touches throughout.The open-space kitchen and living area opens onto a covered porch with plenty of seating to enjoy the panoramic view. There is a propane grill and picnic table, Solo Stove fire pit with firewood provided, and an inflatable hot tub that is kept heated and ready to accommodate up to 6. A 20x40 in-ground saltwater pool was completed on the property in 2023 and is available seasonally for cabin guests. The pool is not overlooked by any other property. Someone will come by the pool regularly for cleaning and maintenance during your stay.Pets are welcome at the cabin but not in the pool.Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have before booking!PROPERTY DETAILS:The cabin is located right off the paved road (not visible from the road), but there is a rather steep gravel driveway off the hill to the house, which could be challenging if your vehicle is very low or has trouble with uneven terrain. The driveway circles, so you can enter or exit either direction. There is also a path going off the hill from the cabin onto the farm below, and you are welcome to walk down and explore (or drive but it's mainly suitable for walking or ATVs right now). You can also drive around via the road and enter in a more level area.NOTE: Access to some parts of the farm may occasionally be limited on certain dates during hay season (May-June) or deer season (mid-November to early December). Host will provide guests with further details and a map.This property is just about a 7-minute drive from the courtsquare in Mountain View.
